The answer is the fans that rioted down the street flipping cars and öööö when Paterno was fired.

Actually they were rioting and took down the Paterno statue on campus. I was in grad school there right before everything came out, and people in State College were mad as hell about the whole thing.

Since I’ve never been to State College, I was curious what is the status of the Paterno name there today? Is the statue still put away? Is the Paterno name never mentioned or is all forgiven at least as far as Paterno’s role in that disaster.

Was it O'Leary? I had secondhand heard about him saying something about BOB, tho not that he Will be the coach but that there was a lot of interest or something.
