Miami Depth Chart...Sims QB1

I'm not sure if you consider yourself a smart guy but there are some painfully obvious points that you are really out of touch with. And you mention that at one point I supported Collins. I was in the camp of giving him a chance before passing judgment. By early in year three I knew he wasn't going to cut it so I wanted him out after that. No I was not in the camp of hating his guts just because I didn't like "ATL", "404", and "Waffle House" like lame fans like you.
Maybe you were way behind the curve of seeing the obvious because you fell for the lame 404, ATL, Waffle House nonsense like a bunch of other lame fans. But welcome to the club even if a late arrival. Unless you are a Key fanboy now too. Lol

Waffle House and 404 have nothing to do with how well Collins could or couldn't coach. That's kinda my point dufus.

Hey doofus, it better to be a duffess than a doofus? His hype was annoying from jump and all the more so because he was inept. Sorry that makes you butthurt. Actually not sorry.

What was the reason for not inserting Sims when Pyron was injured? I thought, from all the pregame reports, he was able to go. I'm not sure what's going on but if it is Sims's decision not to play, I say clear your locker son you are finished here at Tech! We already are woefully bad this won't make much of a difference to our bottom line.

Zero chance Key would throw Sims under the bus as he did in the post game presser if he’s truly nothing but a decoy.

Sims is a quitter.
Just saw the comments in the other thread. Confirms what some of us had suspected. Sims is the one deciding not to play even though he's cleared medically.

He will never play another snap at GT. S-O-F-T. If he thinks he's going to impress NFL scouts, he should also realize this crap is "going on tape" as well. NFL teams don't want soft quarterbacks with game tape that is marginal at best. Someone's feeding this boy some bad info.

There is a difference between quitting on a play and quitting on your teammates and Sims has quit on his teammates. Key needs to address the Sim's situation ASAP. I don't see how anyone can have respect for a quitter!

Lol keep with your narrative.
Go watch the 3 minute mark of Key's post game press conference. There's another thread with the video in it. Key throws him under the bus not once but twice when asked about why Sims didn't go in. According to Key, he was medically available but when Pyron went down he "wasn't able to go in" and on follow-up responded "I'll leave it at that".

Others were right. Dude quit. Stop defending him.

Go straight to the 3 minute mark. Watch for the next minute or so.

I'm not even sure I would describe that as "throwing him under the bus."

If he really refused to play, then what answer could he have given to the direct question "Was he medically cleared to play?" that would have protected him? Short of lying.

I guess from a "technical" standpoint you're correct. But that is pretty clear coach speak for "he could have gone in but he wouldn't" IMO.

Yeah it definitely is. I'm just not sure what else Key could have said if that's really what happened. Given the situation, anything other than a direct "No he was not cleared to play" makes it obvious.

So it felt less like Key throwing him under the bus to me than Sims lying down in front of the bus and Key not being able to stop it.

I rarely criticize college kids, but lately with all the selfishness going on, I've crossed the line. Sims is a bum. Anyone who is suited up and refuses to go in shouldn't even be on the sideline. If you are going to lose, put in a walk on or get in a wildcat the rest of the game but never again poison the locker room with anyone who doesn't appreciate playing for the gold and white.

Perhaps you're right. And I definitely agree that Key is in the no-win situation there.
I sense that Key may be getting just a bit fed up with the whole ordeal though and this was a way he could convey that message without directly coming out and saying "Sims is a little bitch".

If this is true, I would have him cleaning out his locker after the game. Hell might have sent him during the game to get started.

Key may have just stumbled over his words and his answer. He didn’t say what you are implying but I do think the way he answered wasn’t clear so it left it up to interpretation.
