Miami Depth Chart...Sims QB1

Pyron and Gibson had pretty much the same passing stats (Pyron a lot more rush yards). So it was probably just a bad gameplan vs Miami.
Pyrons stats look a lot worse than they were. He had little time and was putting the ball where it needed to be. Also, Gibson only did good when Miami pulled back.

Pyron missed a bunch of throws early to Hall out of the backfield. Those were easy throws and he was way off.
I thought he had pretty good protection for most of the day. But he wasn't really sharp throwing it, except to McCollum.

At least you are finally inserting the “IMO” into your assertions.
LOL. You're a moron. The coaches did try to get Sims to go into the game. He wouldn't. He is a pussy and a quitter. öööö him.
SOB is making more NIL money than anyone on the team and won't play despite being medically cleared.

We saw this differently. It looked to me that Hall didn't put forth the effort to help his QB on the throws early in the game. Hall had a horrible game in all phases.

It's definitely not a good look for Sims to the public eye if he was available and made the call to not play, but for those of you saying he isn't really hurt and just has quit, that is total horseshit. He has a fracture in his foot, he already tried to play on it once in the UVA game and he suffered another injury because of his immobility. He has been "cleared" to play by doctors meaning he is able to, but that doesn't mean he isn't in pain or able to do comfortably or effectively. The coaches are the ones letting him make the decision, and he risks further injury by playing on it. If he's healthy and is just "quitting" or refusing to play, then why would they let him make those decisions himself or even let him stay on the team? They wouldn't.

Yeah, it's all just word play now, useless to keep discussing it. The optics of the situation aren't good, whatever the truth.

Are you his gf or something?

Well buckle in because it's not going away if he is still on the roster at the end of the day. Because people will (very understandably) want to know if he'll be available on Saturday, either as a starter or a backup.

The fact that Sims was cleared to play means that medical staff believed he could do so with very little risk of aggravating the injury,
but it may still be painful or have an effect on mobility or Sims may not agree with the medical assessment. Letting Sims choose is the right approach. key may not have been explicit but he was clear. Sims chose to be "unavailable" when the coaches/team needed him. He may very well be a locker room cancer at this point which could impact his ability to to find a quality P5 portal receptacle.
Key will need to take some appropriate action to avoid impacting his upcoming job search.......a sad state of affairs for GT.
There is no medical category called "cleared to play for emergency use only"
I’ll just leave it at that.

And if he is standing on the sidelines in pads it is a legitimate question.

Yeah. I think the most favorable possible read of this for Sims is that while he won't do any further damage by playing, he's really not healthy enough to play -- whether that's physically, mentally (not meant to be a dig, there is a big mental component to returning from an injury), or a combination of both. But, whether due to pressure from outside sources or himself, he wrongly told coaches he could go if it's an emergency and then realized otherwise when the emergency happened.

Someone needs to impress upon him that if he's medically cleared and he's dressing for the game as an emergency QB, he needs to be willing to play when the emergency comes. If he can't play, then he shouldn't dress. I understand gamesmanship and needing time to make a decision, but it's a call he needs to make before taking the field for the game, not during it. This is especially true for a quarterback.
