Mike Leach to Miss State

Do I sense CFB is evolving into a southern sport? What has happened to the Pac 12? The "BIG" seems to be falling behind very slowly IMO. Certainly I could be wrong, been there before.

When I'm facing to the west, your mom is typically out west.

I actually went to the Miss St-Bama game this year when Tua got hurt. My wife wanted to go out and see her brother who is a student there and we watched the game. The campus is pretty nice but the student section was pathetic especially with it being Bama. Being successful at Miss St is tough but I think if anyone can do it, Leach can do it.

He’s originally from Georgia. So Georgia is now most definitely out west

If the schools on the west coast get to start openly paying players before the schools over here do, you may see it shift back

That article sure seems familiar

The Bulldogs are betting their swerve into the college football periphery – passing and more passing – will help them close the gap between them and the top tier of the SEC West. It’s an aggressive move that should be applauded. Why do the same thing over and over? Mississippi State is now operating on the edges of college football innovation and scheme. The Bulldogs weren’t winning by operating like everyone else. They certainly won’t resemble many other programs now.

Why were they playing the theme from Rocky instead of some pirate song?

He’s going to piss a lot of people off is my prediction.

also, having been to Amarillo, which is actually on I-10 and you have to hitch off of it to get to Lubbock, I can promise you that Lubbock is middle of nowhere. There wasn’t a damned thing near Amarillo but sand, cactus, and rattlesnake holes.

He'll do well there, but will he upgrade the visitor locker rooms?

Could be some affect due to these gimmick offenses that teams have to prepare for. The SEC seemed to slump when Spurrier ran his gimmick offense at UF, ACC slumped when we ran our gimmick Flexbone offense...maybe the PAC 12 slumped in part due to the Leach Air Raid offense. I'm sure there are other factors; but maybe the gimmick offenses are a contributor.

Having been to Lubbock over a dozen times, it is in the middle of nowhere. Food options went noticeably downhill after the Which Which across from campus was closed.

Amarillo is not on I-10.

I’ve spent a couple of eternities in Lubbock in the 90’s. All I remember is heat, a sledge hammer, a fence, and an apartment full of blonds.

And heat.
