We need CPJ's input on how Diseqc's parenting style is affecting the level of commitment for Tech's success. It may be a bigger problem than our oline.

Clearly, students are not showing up for games because parents like @Diseqc aren't instilling in their children the importance of attending games at an early age.

He probably hasn't even dressed them in white and gold or taught them to say THWG either.

This is terrible. Why even call ourselves Georgia Tech.

best numbers I can find on quick notice for enrollment by state is Fall 2015. of the 19,500 total enrollment, about 11,000 were from Georgia. Undergraduate was 9,000 of 13,500

the same source shows enrollment from 137 of the 159 counties.

It's a catch 22... Maybe we wouldn't suck so bad if we could get better recruits....
The recruits aren't the problem, watching three guys run through the offensive line is.

Yes I agree there is no blocking. Do you think that's coaching not lack of talent or ability?

If you've got Jr and Sr OL-men who still can't block but are playing anyway, it's a failure of coaching.
Do you think it has anything to do with size or strength? I sit on row 4 and I noticed with Clemson and Miami that both their D lines were considerably bigger in stature than Tech's O line.

Not 100% sure what you mean by stature (you might be referring to height/weight combination), but see these links from Ken - our OL (296) bigger, on average, than Miami DL (276). Not sure about Clemson.

FWIW, Pitt averages 274 on DL

Ok, well all I know is they looked considerably taller.

Then it falls to either the strength/conditioning coach or the guy who recruited 'em. Coaching either way.

Ah-ha! My point stands.. Recruiting.... We get what we can get. Until our program grows significantly with updated facilities, filled seats, etc we will always have an issue recruiting the top players.

Ah-ha! My point stands.. Recruiting.... We get what we can get. Until our program grows significantly with huge influxes of cash, updated facilities, filled seats, gets Nike/UA/Addidas uniforms, no calculus requirement, easy majors, bagmen, fluffer girls, getting Atlanta Police on board, desiring a MNC over all other things, etc we will always have an issue recruiting the top players.

fixed

No argument. Recruiting also falls onto the coaching staff.

Didn't renew this year for the first time in over a decade, and won't until The Hill chooses to field the same type of athletes that our opponents field. Better things to do than cheer for self-inflicted futility, lol. Insert bigcrymindriteblahfunkingblah
