you have an astute eye for the obvious.
Thank you for your astute observation of what was obvious.

We haven't taken that many deep shots so it is hard to say at the moment. We seem to like underneath patterns and, I'd guess, passes to TE's, although we were thin there last game. Even most of our WR throws are medium routes.I am glad someone else sees he isn't accurate with the deep balls. Hopefully that is something that can be fixed like his decision making; but this Heisman talk is way too early. With this offense and the YAC that these receivers can generate, he should end up with some pretty stats though.
BTW, do you guys remember the "Nesbitt for Heisman" campaign and what a disaster that ended up being.
Each week we are putting more of our offensive "personality" on video. It will be interesting to see if we can avoid becoming predictable. I thin you aare correct that we can hope for some TE surprises at Syracuse. We haven't taken that many deep shots so it is hard to say at the moment. You guys still are missing the point. This isn't us here or our fanbase starting up a Heisman campaign for anyone. It's about the national coverage and exposure that Sims is getting as a true freshman because his athleticism and skillset is being seen.Thank you for your astute observation of what was obvious.

I mean, that's just the way it is. Guys like Fields, Trevor, etc. were Heisman hopefuls before they ever even played a collegiate game. You can tell if the physical tools are there from day 1, and that's all anyone is saying with Sims. He has the physical tools to play at that level. It goes without saying that it takes more than that to actually get there. So, I don't bother saying it.
Love the “let’s pump the brakes, guys” posts by some of our pussy fans.
That would be an impressive feat and here's to hoping. However if he doesn't make that list I heard it's 12 inches so the kid wins either way.I fully expect him to occupy one of the top 5 slots on this list before he is done at GT

Last year Collins had to sell a dream which started the first play of the spring game - changing perception of the program to 14-18 year old males. The guy had to sell, sell, sell something out of thin air. And it worked as his first recruiting real class was amazing.
These first two games of the college football season have benefitted Collins more than any person on earth. 2 games on national TV with a an unexpected win and a Freshman QB who showed out and got national recognition. Game 2 features a sensational freshman RB who added electricity to the program. Collins now has substance to go with the dream he’s been selling for 18 months. I’m telling you, no one has benefited more from this season so far than GT’s brand and Collins. He is going to a beast on the recruiting trail with the examples of Sims and Gibbs. If UGA has a lackluster season by their standards (3 losses), you’ll see the public’s view of the two programs change. A lot of folks are already leery of Kirby. The tide is turning a lot faster than I ever imagined.
True. If OL, TE, and WR recruits see Sims and Gibbs and are excited to be a part of that, we can bring some really good talent to ATLTotally agree. This season is more important to recruiting for us than anything else. If we can sprinkle in a few more wins and avoid the ugly losses like we had last year, the whole recruiting flavor changes. So far, even with the UCF loss, it is going in the right direction.
Absolutely. Imagine how awesome it would have been had we not lost 7 guys to injury so far. I really don’t think that’s getting enough attention in the media or from fans on here/elsewhere.Last year Collins had to sell a dream which started the first play of the spring game - changing perception of the program to 14-18 year old males. The main stuff I want to see out of Sims in the next few games are protecting himself on runs (he got decleated a couple of times Saturday) and taking care of the ball (I can handle interceptions when he’s slinging it around if he can avoid fumbles).
