Which is most embarrassing?
The atmosphere in south bend was such that it didn't hurt as bad as it should have, at least for me.The Notre Dame game was televised on NBC and they put this graphic of the clown riding the ramblin wreck and the wheels coming off. My hatred for that piece of öööö peaked that day.
I already forgot about that. Now have to go look up the video. The Notre Dame game was televised on NBC and they put this graphic of the clown riding the ramblin wreck and the wheels coming off. My hatred for that piece of öööö peaked that day.
I almost paired ND/UGA for a 100-0 choice. The Notre Dame game was televised on NBC and they put this graphic of the clown riding the ramblin wreck and the wheels coming off. My hatred for that piece of öööö peaked that day.
I knew a couple guys on that Furman team. They would have beaten a third to half of the teams in Division one that year. Between 82 and 85, they won 40 games in 4 years.Has to Furman
Gosh no wonder no one gives a öööö anymore.
I was there too. Huge disappointment. Losing to a lower division team was unthinkable at the time so it was a stunner. But Furman was the class of their conference and their running back, who ran for over a hundred, Stanford Jennings, was an all-star who played many years in the NFL, mostly with the Bengals. Dick Sheridan went on to coach at NC State and had success there as well although we did get him back in a big game against the Pack where Jerry Mays ran all over their ass. Sheridan just passed away in July.I knew a couple guys on that Furman team. They would have beaten a third to half of the teams in Division one that year. Between 82 and 85, they won 40 games in 4 years.
I was at that game and chewing nails when it was over but in retrospect, they were way better than us and way better than they got credit for. As I recall, Danny Sheridan was their coach and he was also very underrated.
