I've never cussed at any poster on any board, and always consider The Institute in any post I make.

I have spent quite a bit of time reading Buzzoff. It does not have the huge varied membership, and the tenor is overwhelmingly negative. It has more name calling and cursing than any of the other boards. The arguments put forth are more irrrational/absent of logic than on any other board. Some posters there were happy when GT lost because they hated Chan Gailey and thought it would get him fired sooner.

BBuzzoff posters do typically rail on our recruits with little actual knowledge about them. When Cooper Taylor committed, the consensus there was that he was a reach at best. Too thin, they said. Oops. He has been perhaps the most impressive member of that class so far. As mentioned Gilbert has been a stud as well. Ditto for Melton, who was dissed for being low ranked.

They also personally attack Georgia Tech student athletes. Reggie was attacked mercilessly there, often by Double B himself.

I do think it is possible that Double B has turned over a new leaf, especially if he is rubbing shoulders with coaches, players, and other fans. This holds him more accountable to his actions. I wish Double B no ill will and hope that he continues to learn and grow as a person and a Tech fan.

All that said, actions have consequences. We must face the music for poor choices and behavior. Double B is facing the music for his. When he acts more positively then he will gain broader acceptance. Until then I do not blame his detractors, and it seems natural that folks are skeptical of him right now. Perhaps in the future that will change. I am sorry the radio will suffer.

FYI, the only shows I listen to are ones regarding what's going on with the team right NOW. I'm just not that interested in retrospective.
 
Come on Irish, don't sit there and try to tell us that BeeBad is the reason your show is semi-taking off. The only reason you even have a show and are allowed access is because Adamm worked his ass off for 4 years for the football team. He's the only one who has credibility with the coaching staff/players/GTAA/etc. They don't give a damn about you, 33, or BeeBad....yet you make the show all about BeeBad, a guy who has literally never done anything for our Institute, and is only partnered with the radio show for publicity and to use Adamm's blood, sweat, and tears to line his pocket.

Nobody here wants what you're selling. So please, by all means, stop advertising every damn show like we desperately need the info. We know where it is.

I wish Adamm all the best, but his choice of friends on this one is suspect.

We're appealing to the classy Georgia Tech fans who enjoy discussing the program and hearing from the players, ex-players, coaches, and other fans. We aren't in this for the money if we were we'd do a radio show for a team that has a huge fan base like a pro team. Really curious irishe, but why do you care so much? I mean, everything you say you don't want in fans is exactly what beebad has been for 5+ years. I actually remember liking to go back and forth with him at one point because he was interesting and opinionated. At some point though he went off the deep end. But again, why do you care what I think of him? I'm not made at Adamm and I don't want him to fail. I'm just not interested in forgiving a "fan" who trashed my alma mater mercilessly for as long as he did in the terms he did.

I haven't chimmed in on any of this. Find it interesting. Have been on all the boards since they started. Haven't always posted, but I pretty much read everything.

Your two words, strange and suspect, are good ones.

I too wish Adamm well.

Can't escape history. It's always there. Some just haven't put all the history together to understand.

I don't know why you guys are bothering to argue about this. You can do it til you're blue in the face...it all comes down to money, and, from what I understand, beebad is ponying it up. It's like arguing with China about the age of their gymnasts...there's just no point.

The point is that I enjoy this board and I don't intend to allow them to come and post their absurd bull**** all over the place without saying something.

:laugher: You're talking about a guy who never gave a dime to GT outside of buying tickets and then had the gaul to try and start a movement with people who actually did give money for them to stop supporting GT athletics until the head coach was replaced. Last I checked he hasn't had season tickets since 2003 and he was somewhere in the lowe east stands around the 20 yard line 30 rows back. Sounds like a big doner.

I was referring to the show. I thought I saw irishe write that beebad is part owner of it? It's clear that they don't care if beebad has trashed GT or whatever in the past...why would they care if he has season tickets now or makes donations to the Institute? The show is a business, and business are all about money. You give them enough cash, I guarantee beebad will be off the show(assuming he isn't majority owner or something...I'm not a businessman, I don't know all the rules on that stuff).

Good analogy.

For me its not about GT anymore. The guy posted a picture of my daughter on his board in an effort to take a pot shot at me. That illustrates a VERY basic moral malfunction that people associating with him need to really consider and think about.

I'll go to my grave holding that against him.

You can mess with me all you want. You don't stoop to messing with my kids unless you want an enemy for life.
