Mullen fired from UF

Well, we can't afford to fire him is what I keep hearing people say. Got to do something with him if we can't afford the buyout. Maybe put him in charge of concessions? parking?
We are like that 2005 Chevrolet with transmission problems. Fixing the transmission is throwing good money after bad. Anything we choose costs is money.

I love the delusional fantasies of our fanbase. We are worse than Vol fans.
Vols got rid of a crappy coach without paying a buyout and brought in a coach That has them bowl eligible in a season where they only have 71 players because 27 left in the transfer portal. So tell me about truly inheriting a piss-poor roster. Tech fans could stand to have a little bit of Volunteer delusion right now.

We can afford to fire him.

We just can't afford to fire him AND pay someone else to replace him.

But this thread is hilarious. Dan Mullen is not coming to Georgia Tech, Not as an OC. Not as an HC. Not at all. Just stop it.

You do know how the Vols were able to fire Pruitt for cause, don't you? Any proof of similar violations by CGC? No? Then WTF was your point?

Well, I don't see him going to Miami or LSU, VT maybe? Would Mississippi State take him back? I don't see a lot of options for a coach who just got fired at UF.

He's definitely not going to Miami. Almost surely not LSU or VT, either. TCU and UWash even seem like a reach. He's not going to get any premier HC gig immediately. Not too many fan bases will want him right now. Plus, he's well-known to have an abrasive personality. He'll need to go clean off the stink from UF, first.

He might take 2022 off and sit it out.

Otherwise, as a HC I could see him at USF, Akron or maybe his best chance for a decent gig could be WASU. Otherwise, if he steps back to OC, he might have a lot of opportunities.

I think he would consider GT over USF, Akron or OC job, if we offered.

After going 0-3 against CPJ and the TO, if we hire Mullen he will probably hire CPJ as OC.
