Mullen fired from UF

Financial capacity ≠ financial willingness.

Some have suggested dropping down to FCS. It was suggested before we hired CPJ, and I'm sure some are back to that.

I'm not convinced that CGC has substantially improved our recruiting. But regardless, if you have evidence of willful infractions of NCAA rules by CGC, I would not be the only one to offer you free drinks for life.
"Some" have suggested it. "Some" where?

yup real delusional. 1 coach has 71 scholarship players, plays 6 ranked teams in the toughest conference this season, finds a ways to blowout SEC teams and constantly thanks the fans. Compared to a coach who was impressed with beating Duke and their top 5 offense, and only cares about the players not the fans. You're blind if you can't see C***** is the biggest coaching failure in the history of Georgia Tech. At least Bill Fulcher had the decency to quit.
Fulcher was much better than Collins.

If he doesn’t immediately take another HC gig, opportunity to go OC route for a few years? Collins and Mullen know each other well…

Mullen knows Collins too well to ever work for him. Mullen would be an upgrade from Collins as head coach. I'm not saying he's the guy we should get. But he's head and shoulders better than Collins.

Fulcher was much better than Collins.
Under Coach Fulcher, Tech went 7-4-1 in 1972 and won the Liberty Bowl. That was his first season as coach. In 1973, Tech went 5-6. He chose to step down as coach after that season. There isn't any comparison. Coach Collins hasn't been able to win more than 3 games, in a season, in 3 years!

GO JACKETS!

One thing about Mullen that hasn't been mention is his buyout of $12 Million

As for income already promised by Florida, Mullen is going to receive his entire buyout, Stricklin confirmed. Mullen is owed a total of $12 million, including $6 million within 60 days, on a renegotiated deal that Stricklin just awarded his coach in June.

He may also be on LSU radar. He could have a good offseason
He would be a smart hire for LSU, but there are weird political issues with bring UL's coach into LSU. Several of their biggest boosters have been pretty vocal about that, but maybe their AD can wrangle them and get the money on board.

Second article:

"Florida football coach Dan Mullen received a three-year contract extension worth an additional $1.5 million annually following a disappointing season that closed with a three-game losing streak and included several public relations missteps and NCAA sanctions."

Fire the AD

I wonder if the AD had some sort of quid pro quo with Mullin.
