Well, I am going to go ahead and get this one out there folks.
First of all, GT wins it. Why? Well, for those of you who watched the Miami game two weeks ago, or there about, any time FSU actually got pressure to the Jacory Harris he looked flustered and seemed to make poorer decisions. Jacory Harris also had a really hard time against the GT secondary last year, and it's a secondary that has matured another year with him. GT seems to have a pretty decent pass rush. They need to contain Harris though, otherwise he may go T-Mobile on us.
Secondly, their defense is largly still very suspect. Looked like there was a lot of heros on that team and FSU had some success especially up the middle on them and that's where GT punched them last year. I didn't see a large improvement.
Third, GT's offense will be out ofr it. I know that they are looking for something better than last week and from what I am hearing from players they are getting the killer instinct idea. Anthony Allen quotes, "we have to keep punching them in the mouth" after the Clemson game. I also believe Paul Johnson when he said that Nesbitt will learn from the Clemson game and also judging by the fact that him and Bay-Bay will be practicing throwing after every practice shows that Nesbitt wants this. I believe him. He led us to the win against Clemson. That was all heart folks.
Last, coaching. Paul Johnson has stymied Randy Shannon last year. Randy's Miami was coming to ATL with a 5 game win streak and they were high. GT brought them back down, and guess what folks, MIA is high again. They are still young, while GT is too, the coaching is the difference in the attitude of the players. Paul Johnson used the chicken bowl loss as motivation and GT knows what it's like to be complacent and how it feels to be truly humbled. That and Furman Bisher says GT is among the greatest, he has a point.
I don't like to put out points guys, but if the line in Vegas is at -4 for Miami, I say take GT and the points spread the other way to 7.
