Nasty rumor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you respond to unlikely message board posts with no links to outside support, you're letting the terrorists win.

Well... IF PJ gets us 8-10 wins this year... and maybe 10 or more next year we need to make sure that he wouldn't be interested in leaving.

Tennessee? You have your facts wrong. I heard that the falcons were going to scrap Matt Ryan, bring Vick out of The Jail Football League (the JFL as seen on ESPN 8 'the ocho'), and bring the triple option to the NFL. Its a perfect plan really. Also, they plan on a slew of new hires in new coaching positions. This is all just rumor, but this is what I have heard through the grape vine:

They are replacing the O Line coach with the Buffet Line coach who is rumored to be Charlie Wies.

They are replacing the D Line coach with the Vegas Line coach who is rumored to be Rick Neuheisel.

They are replacing the General Manager with the General Lee. Apparently they plan on drafting vehicles in the future.

*Judging how this started, this is a thread were we are talking out of our butts, right?

I heard that the Democrats and Republicans were ready to drop McCain and Obama and are both recruiting PJ. The EU flew over here and offered to make him dictator of their unelected bureaucracy. The Royal House of Saud offered to abdicate if he'd be King. Further, God may be "retiring" soon and PJ is the leading replacement. Word on the street is many in heaven think PJ's triple option is a better trifecta than the holy trinity.

that was the best come back you could come up with.... wow

I thought his comeback was kinda funny.

TN is more likely to go after Cutcliffe IMO. The TO is still too weird for a "national power" like TN to hitch their wagon to.

Yup.

We have no fears of losing PJ for another two years. After that, we need to be on our guard.

Tenn comming after CPJ !! Fulmer is out !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gotta agree w/NC Jacket on this call.
I can't see TN going after CPJ, not yet anyway. Cutliff would seem to me to be their first choice and I would also think that Cutliff would much rather enjoy the compensations of TN over Duke as HC.
Besides, do you really think TN is ready to admit that they would adopt the Triple Option offense?

And another thing, what would the loyal fanbase of UT say about UT's pulling a coach from the ACC?
Remember, in the eyes of the fanbase of SEC folk, ACC is only one or two notches above being a Leper.

While on the subject of Tenn, I'm curious as to how many of those seats will be filled at UT's next home game.

Does sound like dawg poo. Fulmer will be on the hotseat here shortly thouigh. I feel like he's been on borrowed time for a cuppla years now.

CPJ's not leaving for love nor money.

Pfft. We all know that the SEC is too fast for the option. It will never work.

Nevermind the fact that Johnson has a near perfect recruiting pitch in the state here. He also doesn't strike me as the type that would up and leave for the "prestige" of an SEC school. He wants to prove his offense works. He's got a better shot at running through the ACC then the SEC. And he has no record of pulling a Petrino.

I can't remember where I read it, but I remember an article about CPJ when he left Navy about how he called a team meeting before the news broke so he could be the first to tell his players that he was leaving. He said something along the lines of how he had to look at the faces of all the navy players when he told them he was leaving and how he didn't plan on ever having to do something like that ever again. We can win championships here at Tech, we pay competitively (not the best obviously) and we aren't as nosy as some of the SEC fans. We're just fine.

:laugher::laugher::laugher::laugher::laugher::laugher:

CPJ isn't going ANYWHERE.
im pretty sure he will stay here for a LONG time. We will have to hand out some serious LOOT, but we will have him for atleast a decade.

This might sound crazy, but GT is a better program to win a MNC for PJ. We have way more talent in the state. We don't play Bama, UGA, and UF every year. The ACC is a league you can go undefeated in.

If PJ ends up going anywhere, it won't be to Tennessee. It'll be to Nebraska whenever they get around to firing their new coach.

Which means we have a few years for sure.

I would think anyway, that the Tech folks made sure it wasn't easy to leave. The reason is generally that the Perfect Option requires different players than many offenses. It takes years to get them in and it will take years to get rid of them when PJ leaves.

UT needs Jim Grobe. We need to get Wake back to being a cakewalk. Besides, I would enjoy seeing Grobe smite the mutts

Still not the dumbest post ever, tho, right?

Congratulations Yukonwreck. Your post is now the second dumbest thing I've ever read on a message board. After careful consideration, GTgrad86 moved you out of the top slot.

Unless it turns out that GTgrad86 is a dawg in disguise, in which case he was just trying to stir up trouble, and you shall regain the top slot again.
