New OL Consultant Added to the Staff

CGC fired after this season, Key promoted to HC, this guy steps in as OL coach. No other real changes on offense. Turnover the defensive staff. That's where this is headed.
Or, hear me out, all of these changes result in a 7-win season retaining all coaches as is. Recruiting takes off as expected with wins, and CGC retires from Tech in 20 years with multiple conference championships and playoff appearances.

While it’s good to see GT hire quality assistants (Long, Cheney, Weinke and now Hevesy). The question is, why didn’t they do this before fall camp opened? I guess Hevesy didn’t want to coach HS football like his buddy Mullens.

So our $600K+ OL coach needs a consultant? Wasn't he supposed the be the best of the best of the best when we hired him?

Anyway, I am glad we are hiring some OL coaching help because we've needed it for the past 3 years.
3 years? Are you forgetting how bad the OL was the last few years under Johnson with his buddy Sewak? The cupboard was bare when Key came over from Bama.

Sewak put a better OL on the field than we've had the past 3 years, and yes we all thought Sewak sucked. This move to bring in Hevesy should confirm to everyone that the problem wasn't simply jimmies & joes.

I predict that if we win 6+ plus games this year, there will be two camps on Stingtalk. The 'Collins just needed time to flip the roster because the cupboard was bare' group; and the 'bringing in those new assistance coaches made a huge improvement' group.
