Most notable thing he said in that entire interview was the networking and NIL opportunities connected to internships that help set you up for a lifetime, and how it's really a 30- to 40-year decision. How are you going to be living after football is over?

That is Tech's most important selling point right there. Many places talk about it, but GA Tech has the track record of really making it happen. Though most top athletes are dumb as a box of rocks, there are still many who are not. GA Tech needs to be competing with Stanfords, Notre Dames, and Michigans to attract those athletes. Only the idiots make decisions based off who has the best dressing room, who has more seats in a stadium, or who has the most fun college life (and there are many who do). Those guys won't succeed at GA Tech anyway.
