Why not someone currently in the department? Here's a few possibilities. First two are former athletes, one quite prominent. The third has been here for 18 years.

Doug Allvine is the Assistant AD for Special Projects at Georgia Tech, a position he has held since 2005.
He manages a broad range of strategic initiatives and projects across the Athletic Association and Institute, with a focus on student services. He currently coordinates Georgia Tech's Degree Completion program for former student-athletes and helps lead the Total Person's career/internship efforts.
Previously, he has overseen football team academics, managed the ticket office, and led GTAA's NCAA student-athlete academic reporting.
Prior to returning his alma mater, he spent 11 years as a business consultant with Accenture.
A former Georgia Tech football player from 1987-89, he is a 1992 graduate with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. He later earned his MBA from Tech in 2011.
Doug is the son of a former Georgia Tech management professor. Doug and his wife have two young children, both who plan to attend Georgia Tech someday.

Georgia Tech men's basketball standout Marvin Lewis returned to his alma mater in September 2014 as Associate AD for Finance & Administration. His responsibilities include oversigh of the business office, equipment, and IT, while also serving as the sport administrator for baseball.
Lewis returned to The Flats after two years at the University of Maryland as the Terrapins' Associate AD for Business. While at Maryland, he was responsible for planning, preparing and managing the department's $70 million operating budget, and overseeing the daily operations of the business office as well as serving as the sport administrator for the men's lacrosse program.
Prior to joining the Maryland staff, he spent nearly five years in downtown Atlanta as Senior Associate AD for Finance and Administration at Georgia State. Lewis managed all financial operations of the athletic department and helped to successfully build a start-up football program while at GSU. He was also the sport administrator for nine varsity sports programs.
Before entering college athletics administration, Lewis worked for Frazier & Deeter LLC, a regional public accounting firm in Atlanta, for more than three years.
A native of Germantown, Md., Lewis was a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Yellow Jackets men's basketball team. As a senior in 2004, he helped lead Georgia Tech to a Final Four appearance. He graduated with honors from Georgia Tech in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in management. After becoming a licensed CPA, Lewis also earned a master's degree in taxation from Georgia State in 2008.
He and his wife, Anessa, have a son, Callen.

Jim Hall has been with the Georgia Tech Athletic Association since 1998 and is currently the Associate Vice President for Development (Athletics). He heads up the Alexander-Tharpe Fund, which is reponsbile for all development activities in support of intercollegiate athletics raising more than $18 million annually.
Named the 2010 University Division Fund Raiser of the Year by the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD), he came to Georgia Tech from Indiana State, where he was directly responsible for all intercollegiate athletics fundraising activities, as well as the letterwinners association (I-Club).
He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California in 1986 and his master's degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1994. While working on his master's at OU, he worked in the development office and helped start the Sooner Club.
He has two sons: Henry (12) and Jonathan (10).
