Is it an upside that when hiring a DC, you can tell him he's basically going to have free reign since CPJ is going to stay out of it completely?

I feel like that is an upside. There are a lot of great, creative DCs out there who want that to be "THEIR" kingdom.

You think a guy last name of Woody gets as far as he has in life with a skin that thin? We are going to have to get real creative to come up with something he hasn't heard.

To get to the real meat of his defenses one has to strip away an outer layer of its complexity.

If you only look at the outer layer you get caught up with a defense that has a predilection towards size and strength, but once the layer is surgically removed the scheme is clearly focused on penetration.
