My first thought about Manziel's text is that he was getting desperate and acting like a cry baby. Pick me pick me, please. Sort of like the last kid picked at recess. In his case, being close to not getting picked in the 1st round.

Exactly.

I don't think he started texting teams until it got close to the slot the browns moved up for, but I would guess they weren't the only team he was reaching out to.
