Nightmare is over Collins it officially OUT

What do you call guys that claim "there was no way anyone saw it coming" even though damn near anyone that follows college football saw the handwriting on the wall no later than the idiotic pre-game iron pumping BS? It was our first public ridicule on national tv. It wasn't exactly rocket science seeing where this train wreck was going. When exactly it was going too painful for GT's leadership to take anymore was hard to discern and if not for Covid we'd have gotten there in 2020, but there was zero difficulty predicting this implosion.
Seriously, if your only claim to fame is that you were a critic of your team and were later justified in being so, then that’s a crappy claim to fame.

I never believed in Brian Gregory or Clown Collins, but I earnestly prayed they’d both become competent and I cheered them on except when I thought the AD may fold to reason.

My way may not be right, and it’s certainly open to be criticized, but your way is simply to say LOOK AT ME, and that’s never right, especially from a guy in the bleachers

Waffle House did nothing wrong. They provided their planes for recruiting and hopefully they will continue to do that.
Celebration all around at Waffle House tomorrow. Cherry and vanilla splashes for everyone in attendance!

It’s ok. The mean pressers can’t hurt you anymore.

I'm disappointed for Collins and staff. They cared, they tried hard, they failed. Hard to feel too bad for someone raking in millions for losing, but money ain't everything, and this level of failure has got to hurt. Good luck to them.
I'm skeptical that Collins ever really cared. I'm a bit of a smoothtalker myself and I know what it's like to tell people what they want to hear. Collins was just excited to secure the bag and I'm sure that, all things being equal, he wanted his teams to be good, but his ego is more than sated by his huge net worth. He never really cared.

Whoever the new coach is should film a promo reel that opens with them stepping on a Waffle House cup with a steel-toed boot.
:bowrofl:Above the Line, effort-based post. This would be hilarious. Just like when Collins lined up in the flexbone for the first play of the spring game while hyping up the crowd. In addition to the steel-toed boot, they should work in some sort of egg-white omelet pun

Yea, I guess now we are going to have a contingent of fans wanting to return to the "good ol days" where we didn't have a coach attempt to embrace the city and all things associated. Waffle House and ATL were NOT part of the problem with Collins. His problem was organization and running a tight ship.

Mad at this story for making me think Collins is cool

I can no longer tell if he is a snake oil salesman or a fellow sperg

Also didn't hold a meeting to let the players know (that he claims to love so much). They are finding out via social media.

The clown is a spineless lying coward.
It's late tonight. Perhaps tomorrow - since I thought I had my annual budget meeting tomorrow but misread my calendar,, so it actually happened last week so my tomorrow is a lot more open now - I will post an anecdote that backs that up, 100%.

Could be that this leaked before they could get something together. I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt that he wouldn’t intentionally pull a Petrino on the team.

JRjr
He's got everybody's cell. He can even just send a group text to his little players advisory committee to meet him at the 5th Street Bridge to break the news if he wanted to.
He is a clueless, classless, spineless POS, laughing his Clown ass off all the way to the bank.
I hope he and Van Gorder team up somewhere to ruin another program. That would be fitting.

what strikes me as odd is that the stories appearing about Collins' ouster cite no sources at all.
if they have, I have missed them.

any coverage on the Atlanta TV stations? Or they still busy fellating the Dogs from yesterday's tussle with the Duke of Kent?

I’m glad TStan will not be involved in Tech athletics’s future.

The moment his ineptitude with his own personal finances was revealed it was a shock to me that he wasn’t fired immediately. And it wasn’t a shock to me that he also made such a poor choice innot just hiring Collins, but also giving him a terrible contract for Tech.
