Nightmare is over Collins it officially OUT

You mean like how he had the team line up in wishbone on the first play of his tenure as a öööö you to CPJ?

Reading that as a öööö you is just butthurt. Seems more likely that lining up in the bone and shifting out of it was just a tribute / symbol of what was happening.

He did enough tangible things to be pissed off about that we don’t need to start making up more things to be mad about.

He said enough about his predecessor that I know he wasn’t doing a tribute. I’m not pissed off about it, but I realize what he is.

I am not angry with Collins. I did not like the hire, but made the best of wanting him to succeed. He could not get the job done. I feel bad for him, even more for his staff and their families. I feel bad for players going through four consecutive rough seasons. But, he was well paid and knows the business of college football - win or get fired. So, we move on. I am not going to waste the energy to be angry with Geoff Collins. I wish him well. Now, let’s make a smart hire that finds a coach with more substance than style. Let them go to work and get the program back where it should be. Go Jackets!

I would like to think this, but I think he started to mail it in after his “don’t want to see the progress” tantrum. No team in Tech history has shown so little fight over a span that long. TStan should be the one pissed. He hitched his wagon to Collins and Collins proceeded to do everything he could to get fired prior to the buyout drop without getting fired for cause.

I’ve never agreed with kicking a man when he’s down, but I don’t know what the rule is for clowns.

I feel that firing Collins stopped the bleeding. However; the cause of that bleeding, still isn't fixed. TStan should be fired. Once he is gone, I believe the sickness that we are having, will be cured. TStan may understand business. However; the man is clueless, where sports come to mind. We need a no nonsense grindstone type AD, that has high expectations. If coaches cannot meet those expectations, they should be fired.
Plus one who is much less shady

If he does get another job, maybe that will mitigate some of the buyout cost?

Not much. Tech basically paid Al Groh peanuts with a lump sum bonus to make sure UVA paid most of the bill during his tenure as DC

Bradley has already come to bury Clown, not praise him, online on ajc.com.
It's worth a read.
I will do the same here with this story I got not long ago, from a good source.
I didn't want to share this while Clown was still employed because of its inflammatory nature. I have been dead set against him since the beginning but even this was startling.

Not long after Clown was hired, D Mo, our beloved and widely respected team chaplain, asked him to contribute to the FCA. Moore has a position with them. He had asked Gailey and PJ to do that, and they both had done so willingly. Don't know how much.
But there was a deadline for the donation. Two days before the deadline, and without Clown's contribution having been made, Derrick called over to his office. A short while later, Clown sends someone - doesn't do this himself, mind you - to tell Moore "Coach doesn't think he'll be able to help."
When you partner that with other such instances - bailing on the Savannah Quarterback Club and sending Choice in his stead after The Citadel debacle, doing a pre-taped coaches show after another egregious ass kicking, like Ole Miss - Collins just simply wasn't a Tech man. He wasn't any kind of man.
Good bye and good riddance to the Clown show.
You won't be missed, jackass.

For sale: I will take $300 for it.

In 18 months he’ll be a DB’s coach for a mid level SEC school and you know he’ll be dragging GT at every opportunity. I have nothing left for that dude but disdain.

The top trending topic in Sports on Twitter is Geoff Collins.
Clown always wanted us to be trending on social media.
took his firing to do it, I guess.
I'm sure it's a high level trend
