Northwestern’s Stadium Rebuild & What is the Ideal BDS@HGF?

If any of you actually gave a planck!öööö about the field, you'd be advocating for a better, state of the artificial surface. But you don't. You're all buttmad over literally nothing and you will flail in futility forever like the ignorant filthy hippies you are. Grow the öööö up. Turf is here and it will be here long after you are dead and buried beneath your beloved bitchass blades.
Challenge accepted on you thinking we are gonna keep artificial turf

Put chair seats in entire stadium except end zones. This provides comfort for fans. It shrinks capacity but makes seating so much more comfortable. Students stand and prefer bleachers. Upper North is fine with bleachers. I would also be fine with taking upper North out or reducing its size and replace with premium seating or another plaza for game watching.

I say single tier oval that completelyy wraps the stadium with a noise containing partial awning. How an ENGINEERING school has managed to build the quietest stadium in cfb (because of all the gaps) is bewildering.

Idk if this would be an "amenity" but couldn't we build some kind of semi-circular, concrete overhang over each endzone student section so that during fg's and pat's the students can turn around and holler into the half dome structure to reflect and focus the sound waves into the field and potentially deflect kicks.
Ok now I realize people were right about you, you’re not a really Tech fan. BDS is anything but the quietest stadium in CFB. I thought I was going deaf after the FG block against FSU in 2015.

We’re still paying for the stadium expansion and it’s part of the financial issues we’re facing in hiring a decent football staff. We need money to hire a competent staff that will get us back to prominence. More construction projects is exactly the opposite of what we need.

The turf (as I understand it from the Shaw locals here) was the latest and greatest when it was installed. It was the second or third field of their top-of-the-line turf to be installed. That certainly doesn't make it look great tho. The brown in the field isn't the turf- its's the coconut shell composite that they are using instead of the little rubber beads that other turf field have. It's supposed to be able to absorb water and keep the turf cooler.

It’s only natural that hippies would like grass.

Seriously? My ears are still ringing from that Maryland game we ended on two sacks a decade ago, and the stadium wasn't even full. BDS is anything but quiet, and sure as hell not the quietest stadium in CFB.

If we can't put people in seats, then why spend a bunch of money rearranging it? The artificial turf is the easiest thing to fix right now. The rest of it can wait until we have actual money and actual people

Wut if I want her to slide that butt over next to me?

I agree that I don't want the University taking on this financial responsibility at this point in time, but if an old ultra wealthy donor who hated his kids wanted to leave a legacy at Tech by making some corrections to the stadium, well we can dream up some tweaks.

Wut if I want her to slide that butt over next to me?
But when we're riding in my Malibu
It's easy to get right next to you
I say baby, scoot over please
And then she's right there next to me
I need you here with me and not way over in a bucket seat
I need you to be here with me and not way over in a bucket seat

If money is no object

1. Natural grass
2. Leave the west stands alone (I think we have to do all sorts of ada compliance if we meddle with them)
3. Rebuild edge building, expand upper north to wrap around to upper east stands
4. Expand the south endzone to fill in the southwest corner
5. Separate the south endzone from the corner where the visitor band sits

Interestingly enough, I had a '70 Malibu with a bench seat as my first car. I had the one little seam in the seat coming apart a bit. I used to tell my buddies "that's where she's sliding that butt up next to me while I'm driving"
