Not sure I like this....

I’m confused. I know, doesn’t take much. Are we expecting attrition in the spring? Are the current players graduating in May and making room?

Can someone bring me up to speed? Why does the number of transfers impact his ability to attend whatever it is January 10th? Is GTAA out of chairs or plates or something? Or is this one of those COVID things where you can only have 10 people attend?

It could be a numbers issue in that transfers will come in immediately and be in school. The other possibility is that you enroll early to enhance your chance for contributing as a freshman and transfers coming in makes that less likely. If the issue is numbers on scholarship then we must be planning on graduations and transfers opening up spaces after this semester.

That’s what I want to know.....do transfers take precedent on who’s allowed to early enroll

Don't early enrollees count against 2020 class? What about transfers? Maybe it's just a numbers problem.

Grayson coach doesn't like it either, per twitter. Hopefully can be smoothed over.

I am missing something? We are talking about 5 months that has no negative impact on the kids ability to play this coming fall. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t enroll EARLY. The coach sounds like a complete tool.

Ugghh? Kid has been solidly committed for 12 months with the understanding that he’d move in January 3 ish and enroll in school. On January 2 GT takes a transfer at the same position from Northwestern and tells the kid not to move on to campus the next day...you don’t think that is kind of ööööty?

Sounds like we have screwed up our relationship with the Grayson coach royally. Recruiting a kid and encouraging their early enrollment and then letting them know they are not welcome this semester after all is bad form. But, I guess if you think the transfer is worth it you let the chips fall where they may.

I think without being involved in the conversations and knowing all the factors, I will hold judgment. For a coach to get on social media and play billy bada$$ with an absolute statement is ridiculous. He doesn’t get to control where his players go.
