Odds Shark has KSU on top

How should we do against a MAC team that was winless last year?
We should have won, just like we should have beaten Citadel two years ago. But I prefer to think that the law of averages is in our favor, and we are likely to shake off the demons.

While I agree that GT will probably win this weekend, to say that KSU is garbage in the FCS is grossly ignorant. The program is still relatively young and in his 5 seasons, Coach Bo has collected 2 conference titles and has done well in FCS playoffs in the 3 years they got in. Yeah, they do play bigger cupcakes than NIU (e.g. Shorter and Reinhardt) but Coach Bo has built a solid program. Lots of FCS programs out there that have been around a lot longer have never sniffed the type of success that KSU has had in their short time.
In the mighty Big South conference. They are nothing to be feared. We will win. Not sure if we cover, but we will win.

I still like to think we're going to run the table. That's the beauty of these entertainments... hopes and dreams are free and fun.

Nick Saban won 7 games after losing to ULM his first year. By this time he was running for his first national championship.

Here we are, worried we won't lose to Kennesaw State and that Clemson doesn't beat us more this year than they did last year (our worst loss in school history).

There is nothing redeeming about Collins. I don't know how many games he will win this year but I know it won't be enough to meet the proof of concept standard he has to meet.

He promised national titles, competing at an elite level. Is a loss to NIU and worrying about Kennesaw State either of those things? No!
The Clemson loss is not only our worse loss in school history it's the worse loss in the history of the ACC.

I gotta be honest, I'm having difficulty hoping and dreaming about the rest of the schedule. All my senses are screaming that this could be the worst season in school history. I'm glad I'm a moron who has no predictive ability in football. That I am so incredibly blind and stupid in the ways of the gridiron is my one hope for this team.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

PS. I meant to PM you... I met the pastoral intern from your church the other day. He's recently married a new teacher at my kids' school. Seem like a sweet (very young) couple.

I don’t think it is all doom and gloom. If we switch the run/pass ratio a bit, we should be fine on offense.

On defense, we should zone blitz a lot more. If our DL can’t get pressure, they can at least tie up the OL and make some gaps for our LB.

Do we have confidence that Pnope will run the ball Saturday and establish a lead for a change before trying to get cute? If GT isn't dominating the LOS on both sides Saturday, it will be a very long season. Let's hope that Thacker/Collins are preparing better this week than the last time they have faced an option attack.

Talk about a small world! It's always fun when stuff like that lines up.

I imagine there is a lot of pressure on CGC and CDP that they have never experienced before.

When people were calling for a return of hard nose ‘Temple Tough’ football in 2018, Collins was already flirting with Tech. Stansbury could easily fire CDP this year. Thacker could also be gone. Firing the coordinators might be the only way the money alumni will allow some of the ‘Tech man’ position coaches to be cut as the new coordinators might need their own staff.

In 2018 at Temple, they opened the season with losses to Villanova and Buffalo. But ended up winning 8 games and playing Duke in the Independence Bowl. I'm sure that was just as stressful.

Alabama fans were willing to spend whatever it took to win. GT fans say "I can get $400 for my ticket"

So you’re saying we’re going to lose to KSU, but make a bowl? I’ll take it.

If we are concerned about KSU all hope is lost! Just looking at our remaining schedule I see maybe, just maybe 3 wins. A sad , bleak outlook!

Over the last 2 seasons, Monmouth looks like the only FCS team to hold KSU to 21 or fewer points in the regular season, and they did it both times. In the game played 5 months ago, Monmouth was ahead 35-3 after 3 quarters. Looks like they have the blueprint.
