This conversation is funny. We've been on probation for so long now that we can't remember what it's like to have real depth at every position AND special teams.

We probably lose Burnett this year.
We lose Reese this year.
Cooper will be a Junior already when Skole arrives.

We still need bodies.

I was under the impression that PJ was of the philosophy of playing 1st stringers on special teams? Am I way off base in that impression?

Reese is a junior, but still if Skole redshirts, Reese is gone before we use him.

Regarding special teams: PJ did say that. However, I think most agree that you have to have about 50 guys ready to play a big portion of the game. I think PJ used his stars on ST's because he hasn't had 50 deep to use in the past.

If he did, and every major program has this depth, I think he'd gladly use it versus wearing out the Burnett's of the world. Even so, if he used his starters on special teams, he's going to have more guys hurt and then the subs will definitely play anyway.
 
Shawn Green is a four star on Scout now. I can't see how Denzel Mccoy is the 47th DT in the nation.

After Days announces Friday we have three guys left on the board.

Kareem Martin
Kony Ealy
Ryan White

Not sure how many we will take. Also looks like White can't get into GT.
 
I hope we get Ealy. He's only been playing DE for a year I think. Very athletic and has a good body frame. He will need to add some weight but he will be a monster down the road.
 
I've heard we will take BOTH Ealy and Martin. Also that we lead for Martin. Last I remember Martin wanted to stay in state.

GT has a pretty good lead for both..

Its been that way for a while now.
