Official bHAM Bowl Discussion Thread.

I was asked by a guy I work with, who didn’t go to uga but is such a big uga fAn what I thought about the BHam bowl. Told him it will be a tough match up but a game against Vandy is lose lose for Tech. He said any team that plays Tech would say playing Tech is a lose lose too. I’m so much more pissed that the game was stolen from us. I hope we bloodbath murder next year.
 
Not a fan of getting passed up by better bowls, but it's an easy drive, so my son and I will be planning a day trip over there.
 
Would have preferred the Gator Bowl but honestly that venue is widely regarded as the worst NFL stadium in the country. It used to be Oakland but we saw what happened there.

It's the same stadium as Charlotte I believe. Just minor cosmetic differences. Bones are practically the same. And, yes, not a fan of either.
 
Bowls are meaningless with a playoff system so the game any team is in means nothing because players and coaches will opt out or transfer or change jobs. That we play in a close location for fans is great.

The most important part of bowl season is the 15 practices. With us losing 3 off the OLine this gives all backups an opportunity for more reps with the 1’s so between the bowl and spring practice that’s 30 practice to get our OLine and new DLine ready for Colorado. That’s all that matters.

Vandy is such a "meh" draw for us. We got hosed as usual.

We beat them and it's "well they're Vandy, you should have won...." but lose to them (I don't think we will) & it's "wow, yall lost to lowly Vandy, what the heck"

1) that exposes Alabama

This is true, but even if it wasn't, to those I would say....

My God, who the fuck cares who says what, someone on the interwebs said something about us winning/losing to Vandy, then, what ermegerd berks!!!!! What are you a 14 year old girl? Whatever bowl game we were going to get doesn't move the needle on recruiting this cycle. What moved the needle this year was our wins on the national stage against FSU, Miami and ugag, the bowl game is a reward for the players, and opportunity for more practices, more experience for the coaches, it's a net positive. Enough with the lamenting, it's a pathetic way to celebrate the accomplishments this season in what appears to be an upwards trajectory of the program. We are so kicking the shit out of the inbreds next year and that starts right now! Fuck.
 
Probably not making this trip. Schedule doesn't work out. Other commitments in traveling party already planned.

What time does the Cheetah open that day? Aren't they open for lunch?
 
So wait.....IF we lose this game does Ga State take claim as 2024 SEC champs and State Champs (GA & AL)by default?

I agree we don't lose & think we win rather easily as Vandy has been on a downward spiral last part of the season whereas we've played out best ball........But you know some narratives always stand the test of time lol.
 
Folks, we are playing a SEC team who gets $30M annually more than we do from the same TV partner. We are playing the supposed college football juggernaut conference. We are likely playing against the refs too as everyone is biased for them. It's a big deal.

But, we need to stay focused. This game is one of many where GT is helping the fight against the demise of College Football for us and hundreds of other teams. It's us against SECSPN, AP Voters, northern media bias. If we build it, they will come. Every singular step matters.
