From the AJC:
Georgia Tech has sold out its allotment of Birmingham Bowl tickets, the program announced Thursday.
Tech was originally given 3,000 tickets for the Dec. 27 contest against Vanderbilt at Protective Stadium (capacity 47,100). Tech had 8,000 ticket requests and was able to secure enough tickets through the bowl game to fill those requests ahead of the request deadline at midnight Wednesday. The school had three times as many tickets requests for its 2024 bowl game than its 2023 game.
Tech has now sold out of its allotment for the second straight year after doing so for the 2023 Gasparilla Bowl, a game the Yellow Jackets won 30-17 over Central Florida in Tampa, Florida.
