Official bHAM Bowl Discussion Thread.

They have a good football team and coaches. They are not a fluke. Much like Coach Key, their coach had a plan and curated good assistants and players. I think this is gonna be a great bowl game pitting the 2 giant killers..
I dunno I find it hard to get up for this game giggity

From the AJC:

Georgia Tech has sold out its allotment of Birmingham Bowl tickets, the program announced Thursday.

Tech was originally given 3,000 tickets for the Dec. 27 contest against Vanderbilt at Protective Stadium (capacity 47,100). Tech had 8,000 ticket requests and was able to secure enough tickets through the bowl game to fill those requests ahead of the request deadline at midnight Wednesday. The school had three times as many tickets requests for its 2024 bowl game than its 2023 game.

Tech has now sold out of its allotment for the second straight year after doing so for the 2023 Gasparilla Bowl, a game the Yellow Jackets won 30-17 over Central Florida in Tampa, Florida.

If you missed out on the GTAA allotment, there were still a number of tickets available when I checked yesterday through the Birmingham Bowl website (Ticketmaster) for club seats, which are behind the Tech sideline.

They are more expensive than the allotted tickets, $210 ea. vs $75 ea.

80k life, bro.

$210? Damn .. also why are the teams alloted such a small % of seats? Someone above said 3000 each?

IIRC, teams are on the hook for the cost of their allocation, so since this isn’t the most desirable bowl, maybe they low-ball the initial allocation but make it easy to go back and get more if the demand is there.

Pretty sure the club seats are on the Vandy side since they are the 'Home' team

Why did Vandy announced they sold out their allotment of 10k? While we were only given 3k and apparently sold 9k thru GTAA?

Seems like a difference in ticket allotments between GT and Vandy.
