Official Don’t Burn Pyron’s Shirt Petition

All those people have talent well above average. Are you putting Pyron in this class? I am telling you, at the high school level, these mechanics are being taught. Are there rare exceptions? Yes. However; that is a much less percentage than you may think.

I’m his dad as an FYI. So I think I know what is being taught at the highest level. I’ve spent many hours watching guys like Chris Weinke, Trent Dilfer, Jordan Palmer, and David Morris teach him the exact opposite of what you claim you teach QBs.

And yes because of his work ethic, heart, desire to be the best, and just his extreme passion for playing at the highest level, he will one day be compared to them. Is that a bold statement? Maybe so, but that’s what I love about him (2nd to his love for our Lord and savior) is his unique ability to prove people like you wrong.

OK? I stand by my statement. Sorry, but it's true. Can the work be put in? Yes. Will the fan base be patient enough? Probably not. True, most kids don't even play in college, much less start in their high school. If those people teach the opposite, I would like to see which QBs that they are turning out. Ball security is a must as a QB. Flopping the ball around does not work out well for most. Using good footwork IS something that should be taught. If they aren't teaching that, then I question why there are coaching. Was does Weinke teach, if it isn't ball security and good footwork?

I have a traffic ticket that I need to dispute. Any pointers on how I can get out of it?

There is a point where those that are sickly talented can do whatever and still succeed. You cannot take Pyron and compare him to a Phillip Rivers. More often then not, poor mechanics lead to poor play. Unless the Pyron is the 2nd coming of Peyton Manning or Bret Farve, you are not proving anything.
There is also a point where a good coach understands that when a person is doing something and doing it well enough to be able to play at a D1 level and have success, they should not try to correct "things that ain't broke". It appears you haven't learned that lesson.

Not only did I play the position, I coached it for years. With that said, I taught basics. However; I know enough to know when those basics aren't there. Are there exceptions? Sure. Maholmes and Mariotta terrible basics. However; they were both sickly talented enough, to were it didn't matter. Given, Marcus Marriota is past his prime, in my

This is a loaded question fallacy. If I mention my experience, it will be picked apart and told it isn't enough. But, not only did I play the position. I coached it. Given, I taught mostly basics. However; I coached enough to know where the basics aren't there. Do I have college experience? No. Do I feel like I have enough experience to see when certain basic skills aren't there or being used? Yes. Again... The question was phrased to where my answer doesn't matter. Very leftist mentality.
I played QB too. Let's start a club.

This will be the last post that I put on this matter. If nobody wanted my opinion, don't ask for it. I will be happy to correct myself when I get shown that I am wrong. Until then... There is not one thing to say different. I appreciate the mob mentality, leftist attacks. Shows me exactly who you are. I will plainly turn this topic off, now.

That's what this board is....a leftist board through and through.

I respect the fact that you’re sticking to your thoughts and willing to die on your shield for how you believe QB mechanics should be taught, but you are wrong and I don’t believe you have much experience teaching QBs outside of maybe peewee football. By you disagreeing with what Zach and other QBs are being taught today, you are essentially disagreeing with some of the best QB coaches, mentors, and trainers. Guys like Chris Weinke, etc….

And of course Weinke teaches ball security. Show me one play Zach fumbled a ball on any of his runs due to horrivle ball security. If he did, then I missed it. Regarding footwork, it is the most important part of playing QB, it all starts from the ground up, and being the QB guru you are you know that I’m sure. So yeah every drill starts with footwork. And guess what, even guys like Brady, Allan, or Rogers didn’t start with the best footwork ever. They find ways to improve and spend many hours each day getting better in that aspect of their game. Even after being in the league 10-15 years.

I’ll tell you what. Since you’re still coaching the QB position, if you’d like I will message you my number and I can set up a time where you can come watch a session with Zach and some of the other well known QBs from college and the NFL workout and go through drills. Then when that is over and if that session proves you wrong regarding what is being taught to QBs today and how it’s vastly different from the archaic ways you claim to teach, you go buy one of Zach’s jerseys and wear it every game next year. Deal?

My expertise is on the line but sir, if this is the sweet deal one could get going against you - I'm now a QB expert and I say you're wrong. When can I watch the practice with you guys?!

Typical moronic thinking. If people disagree with me they must be leftist. Why don’t you stick to political boards.
