I don’t want our kids to play injured, but you have to play with some hurt. Sometimes it seems it just does not take too much to sideline Sims. I would simply say he either needs to be playing or he needs to be off the ankle and icing it. Standing, walking with no limp, no ice - it is not a good look for your leader.

He’s got a pretty bad limp at the end of the half, imo.
 
This is the best game I’ve seen since watching Tom Brady hand the ball off to dominate Super Bowl 19.

Not sure I'm following. Time wasted after a first down is moot if you don't get the first down. Feels like calling a low percentage play, especially when you still have a timeout in your back pocket, is a bad decision.

Even if you're worried about the clock, you can always spike it after getting the first. And if you don't get the first, run as much clock as UVA will allow you to before calling the TO and kicking.

You might be late to the game here but Sims clearly isn't exactly Draymond Green when it comes to in-game fight
 
Let’s see how this white boy does at qb. If he can somehow turn this öööö show into a win, give him the job.

If you make the first down you might find yourself in a situation where you need to take the timeout before you want to j guess is what I’m getting at. I’m OK with passing there out of under center.

I would’ve been OK with a run or a Playaction rollout type play. We run the fade a lot for some reason.
 
Run more screens and draws … UVA is stacking the line to shut down our running game and sending the house after the QB. Unfortunately we don’t have a dominant WR to make them pay.
 
We are accumulating body blows. All is working according to plan. We always planned to play Pyron but we had Sims fake an injury.

Trust the plan.

No stop with the goddamn WR screens. Throw the ball past the LOS.

I think keeping the demands low on the backup QB is what we were going for. Save the timeout in case he got sacked on the pass as well. So it wasn’t “in the pocket” so to speak. It had a purpose being available in case 3rd down went awry.
