It may have been mentioned here previously by others but it just dawned on me that since Collins knew he would be fired at year’s end, he is actually incentivized to the tune of $3.3 million to get fired before the end of the year.

Not really. The contract is really poor. We'd never wait until Jan 1 to fire him.
