Official GT Head Coach News Thread

Glad that is (apparently) over. This means that there should be money to do hire some guys we REALLY need to hire for this program. It also means stability for the program in a very unstable time in college athletics. It also allows for the continuance of some of the advances the program made over the second half of the season. We have ourselves an experienced football coach who shed his blood, sweat, and tears on the Flats, who loves coaching there, who has the respect of his players, and who was (apparently) hired from a group of several others.

Let's put this behind us and get on with restoring a winning spirit in GA Tech football.

I don't hate this hire.

The defense played out of their minds over the back half of the season, against some pretty potent offenses. Honestly, the stats and scores don't do the defense justice, given how incredibly putrid the offense was.

The OL did start to look better towards the end of the season, but that's a low bar to clear so I don't want to give too much credit.

Hopefully some consistency at QB will help the offense improve, but the team can't depend on Pyron alone. The coaching aspect of the offense was abysmal this past year. There will need to be some significant changes on that side of the ball.

Bring in a home run OC, improve on D even a little bit, and we're, at the very least, competitive in the ACCC race next year.

Fear-mongering with this 3 dozen transfer öööö. Anyone think more than 4 people transfer out if Deion Sanders is our new coach?
