Speaking of drummers, one of the best of all time is Steve Smith, although you wouldn't know it listening to Journey - YouTube some of his solo stuff, amazing, right up there with Vinny Coliuta and Buddy Rich. Neil Peart, Bonham etc... were all fine rock drummers but these guys are in a whole different class. Another one that most probably won't know is Atlanta's own Jeff Sipe.

I think Neil Peart's a great drummer but to be honest I thought the solo BuzzCzar posted was boring. The drumset is amazing though. Peart is more talented technically than Bonham but Bonham was pretty good musically.

I have been saying the same thing for 35 years and have caught no end of hell for it from die-hard Zep fans.

At one point in high school I could play the guitar parts for every song on their first five albums. Bonham still sucked.
