OFFICIAL Signing Day Thread

Today couldn't get worse. We get a 4 star and I have it on good authority from a guy in North Dakota that he probably has attitude problems.

I think this is a really solid OL/DL class.

I like the DE class - Merriweather, Whitehead, Freeman, and Simmons are have good potential as rush ends - odds are at least one of them pans out for us. And Whitehead could possibly contribute right away.

We might not have a DT in the bunch. Sawyers would have been a HUGE pick up for IMHO. Not the end of the world since we have a lot of DTs on the roster, but I don't like seeing empty classes.

LBs are good not great. Lewis looks like a very good pickup. Jackson is undersized but could grow into a Burnett type MLB.

Secondary is okay. We got some projects and some solid players. No gamebreakers here jump out to me though.

OL was pretty good. I'm not usually worried about this with CPJ.

QB was okay - a solid player that could contribute down the road. Not a big signee like Lee or Thomas though. I would've liked to see the next heir to Thomas come in this year and RS.

ABs: would have been huge to get both Kinlaw and Autry. But I'm happy we got at least one.

BB: Leggett looks like a player, although we had a lot of bigger targets fall through.

WR: nothing jumps out at me.

Overall it looks like every other class we've had since '10. Some solid players, some reaches, and only one or two guys that look like future all-ACC type players. Not ecstatic, but it'll keep us around 7-9 wins.

go row your boat. you guys are lame. nice class. good job staff and good job team!

Go Jackets!!

This is the best class under CPJ and it rivals the 2007 class. We got four 4-stars and a should be 4-star JUCO player. For Tech, this is a great class. You should be ecstatic

Who are you counting as our 4*s? Are you coungting anybody who got a 4* on any of the sites? That's cheating a little I think.

Look up our '10 class. When that one was signed, it was a stud class. We got guys who everybody wanted (Williams, McCoy, Ayers) although a lot of them ended up not panning out.

Your "rivals the 2007 class" comment makes me thing your just trolling. IDK. If you're not then you're high. We've got some guys who are decent pick-ups. But it would've been nice to have snagged a few more game-breakers like Autry might be if he's healthy.

I see little difference between this class and every other class CPJ has pulled in except the '10 class. That being said, I'm not unhappy with it. Just not overly excited about it.

hey, we kicked Norcross's ass back in the day
CHS '88

Seems like a decent class

Good lord though at the OL class that FSU just signed. Monsters. They are gonna road grade the rest of the ACC.

Hey, 2001 here! They just tore down the old NHS on Beaver Ruin. Sad times, man. Sad times.

Yep, prior to the tearing down, me and a few former classmates went there and rummaged around, broke into the gym, old field house. I took about 100 pics. Very sad

I wasn't able to watch Autry --he didn't choose "Georgia Tech University" ala Starbury did he??

What is that? Centennial? Chattachoochee?

it ended up being closed and they built Centennial and Chattahoochee. most of the staff went to Chattahoochee, but it used to be Crestwood High School

or Coolwood if you wish. aka the Golden Ghetto

we never actually played Norcross, but we did change regions/class almost every year during my four years. and one year we went from 6-3 to 1-8 when we ended up forfeiting five wins bc of playing an ineligible player by mistake

Actually pleasantly excited for this class. Hit the needed spots. No one flipped away. I think Step Durham is gonna be a stud, Jordan has huge potential at QB, and the OL and DL of the future was solidified. Autry practically won his team a state championship on one leg in 2012, and finally showed signs of being back at the end of this year. Good things ahead. Go Jackets!!! THWG

we lost our best player to injury in the semi
