Official Spring Game Thread

Drove down there with my wife. Parked in Klaus, about a mile away. Walked by the gay frat party (this is a thing? I'm so old). Discover that the West Stands are closed (why?). Sit in the North stands. Then discover that this isn't a game, this isn't a scrimmage, this is barely even drills. Most of the time there's nothing football-ish going on. Left after about 5 min. What the hell was that? My disenchantment with Tech football does not abate.

Klaus is nothing like a mile away, and we started the scrimmage (such as it is) about 6:45.

You can sit north or east, or stand on the field in the south end zone.

Georgia Tech football is officially ded.
Fine.

Just from what I've seen on the offense, the kids look well-coached. They know where they're supposed to be. Saw a lot of confusion when Pman was running the O.
If anyone is getting the impression that our offense knows which way is up while they're on the field, I will take that as a sign of improvement.

:lol: A++ will read again.

I would like to hear any additional thoughts you guys might have on this. Particularly re: the backfield
Other than Smith, there hasn't been enough to really judge RB. They all look quick with good hands, pass blocking is lacking.

FG's made is hopeful. It's hard to judge anything with how bad the defense and O line has been.

I thought Gibson looked good, which is important since I would like to see us run Sims 10-15 times a game.

I don’t know. He looks pretty much the same as his year 1 to me. He is explosive but he holds the ball way to long and when he rushes the throws he loses all accuracy. So the key is to protect him so he doesn’t have to rush. The OLine looks a lot better to me so far than what we had last year. And the WR’s are now the best position group we have.
In the 7 on 7 with no rush looked like it took 4 seconds to make a throw to me.
