Official Transfer in Thread

Hold on now - I have it on good authority from a 15 year football veteran that catching the ball doesn't need practice anymore at this level or higher. Are you telling me that D1 and NFL players still drop wide open passes sometimes? How could that be??
They don't drop the ball. The ball just doesn't find their hands.

I think that was true for most dorm mates at GT, playing video games and spoke like Butthead, classic introvert and socially awkward. I remember this one dude on my hall in Hefner (early 90s) who would save porn from the newly emerging 'interweb' and catalog it on his hard floppy disk collection.
Huhuh. Huhuh. You said hard floppy.

Yep. I think he's graduating this semester and will be at GT for grad school.
You sure about that? Seither is enrolled at GT and will be with the team for winter workouts and spring practice.

I saw the group list from my son's class. They hadn't met yet since this is the 2nd week of school and there's 300 kids in this particular class. I had heard he was graduating 'spring' semester which would make sense if he had two more years of eligibility while in grad school at GT. I guess we'll know shortly.

Being a current student, it's possible he was already just pre-registered for that class since he was enrolled for the UGA spring semester before he actually made the transfer and enrolled at GT. His name shows up in the GT student directory as an undergrad student and the GTAA already sent out a graphic naming him as one of the spring enrollee transfers. Just like HS recruits, it's a no-no for the school to publish anything with their name on it or talk about them until they are officially "signed" which would be enrolled in the case of a transfer:

Interesting...we'll see.

Pretty sure if he’s a scholarship athlete at UGA he can register and get enrolled in classes, complete coursework, and eventually graduate without even knowing it. That’s general practice.

Every few years some idiot makes this “College NC could beat the <worst pro team>” and it is an idiotic statement. The worst NFL team would ööööing SMASH a college team. It wouldn’t be close.
In the way back machine, do you remember when college all-stars would play the first exhibition game against the defending nfl champs or perhaps the runner up?

Absolutely! Played at Soldier Field. I looked forward to it every year - the first glimpse of live football played the week before other NFL teams started pre-season. Ended when teams wanted their rookies in camp earlier and Hall of Fame game began in its place

Helping out a thin room... former Rutgers LB Austin Dean is enrolled at Georgia Tech this spring as a PWO.

Dean is a Tampa kid who has played in 20 games in 2 years at Rutgers, including one start at LB last season. Maybe not a big needle mover but we need all the help we can get at LB.
