Pyron just has to find the balance between keeping his competitiveness and taking care of his health. I hate being right here but I said before he got injured that he was wonderful but needed to learn how to better take hits. He has all the tools. He has to be healthy for more games to be the starter.

Agreed but that’s a common area for great rookie QBs at both college and NFL. It’s the easiest area to teach

All due respect to everybody but Pyron is hitting receivers in stride like no QB I have ever seen in a Tech jersey. Not comparing Pyron to the Tech greats but that kid threads a needle better than anyone I've seen and I go back to Mike Kelley.

The reality is that the last time we did anything memorable we were an option team. Why would anyone outside of Tech know anything about us post 2014? Or for the 14 seasons prior to that?

Players recruited this year would have only known about us pre-option if they were weird kids who followed CFB at age 5 or they read a book.

Basically, we need 2 QB's to replace the 2 we lost. I think ideally one would be an experienced transfer for competition and depth, and one could be a HS kid we could redshirt and develop.

QB is no longer a position of high concern. We need depth and, yes, competition, but we have 2 decent to good young QB's in Gibson and Pyron, both with ceiling room to grow. I think this will be a position of strength next fall. We do need two more for depth, though.
