On to GA St

14-3 after 1st
24-10 @ HT
31-13 after 3rd
37-20 Final

Probably going to be a pretty fast game. Lots of running clock. So I doubt we see big score numbers like 50 or 60 points. A comfortable win by 3+ possessions is sufficient.
Odds makers have it 39-17.

This will not be an easy game. GSU has played several P5 teams close including beating Tennessee a few years ago. Their DC is our ex DC and knows how he play. They also have experienced skill players. That said, CBK knows this and will absolutely not let another Bowling Green fiasco happen.

I don’t think GT sleeps on GSU for few reasons:
  1. GT is coming off a huge win, which not only fired the team up but the fans as well. The stadium will be rocking for a home night game.
  2. Key will not allow GSU to stay in the game. Big brother must dominate little brother and put them in their place.
  3. GT knew who they were late last year and so far they look even better. Plus, GT already has a game under their belt to get kinks worked out.
  4. GSU has a new staff, scheme and team. They’re still trying to figure things out.
I’d be surprised if this was a close game. Pyron should play a full quarter or two.

Yep. A lot of familiar names on their staff.

I think the big uncertainty is how well our defense will play. The offense will score. We haven't scored less than 21 since 2022, and we scored on 4 out of 7 possessions against FSU. 5 out of 7 if the other field goal had been made!

For GAST. this is their GT/FSU big chance. We should not assume anything going into this because they'll be pretty hungry. Put another way, don't make the same mistake FSU players and fans did last week.

1. How many guys are too banged up from FSU to play this week?

2. Will the defense be consistently good?

We know who we are and are confident on offense. Whether the D holds the fort determines whether we start playing down the depth chart or have a fist fight on our hands.

I am only worried about the turnover bug biting.
I think there is a higher risk of turnovers bc I think we will be installing more offense to test against GSU (bc we can). In making my prediction, I envisioned a ball on the ground in the first half that leads to a short field for them and gets em some points. Like a FG. We dont even necessarily lose the fumble, even if we recover it could lead to a short field.
