On To Syracuse!

Anyone know the status of Alexander? If Cooley is out and Alexander we’re all of a sudden thin at RB. Carrie is talented but I was hoping we could RS him. We’re a run first team and we need to keep the Syracuse offense off the field.
 
We only beat Syracuse at home by 9 points (31-22) last year. They were missing their top 2 Receivers and did not really have a QB due to injuries. They were mostly playing their starting RB and TE at QB against us. We knew that they were going run pretty much every play and they still rushed for over 200 yards against us.

This year they will have McCord at QB, their top 2 Receivers back, and will be playing their 1000+ yd RB at RB. I expect their offense to be considerably better. This game will be a good test to show how much the D has or has not improved.

Dam. I had forgot about that QB situation last year. The TE was playing QB with gloves on both hands. lol. You KNEW he wasn’t throwing the ball.

Agree... I think this game will be decided by which defense rises to the challenge of getting stops against a good offense. Both teams will score a bunch, we just need to be more efficient
 
May I also add - those worried about SU. Don’t be. CBK and the boys cracked the code.

I watched some of Syracuse's presser for Georgia Tech. He seemed pretty knowledgeable about our team, naming off several offensive and defensive players. Also complementary of Key and Faulkner.
 
After watching some highlights of the Cuse/Ohio game, Syracuse is more athletic than I thought, especially at WR. We will have to play like our hair is on fire and eliminate the dumb penalties to win.
