Our coaches suck

Geoff Collins acts like the middle aged mom that’s buying her high school age daughter booze so all the kids will party at her house and she can hang out and be that cool mom. His schtick is cringe. He’s what you get when you order Dabo Swinney from Wish.

Our coordinators are bad. Our conditioning is somehow worse than it was under Johnson. I have zero faith in our coaches to coach up talent or out-scheme an opponent. I could give this staff an NFL team and they’d still go .500.

Can you post a clip of our OL getting manhandled on a play? That hasn't been the problem I've seen. It's that they're out of position... badly...

We're outscoring our opponents in the second half. What do you mean our conditioning is worse?
 
I actually think the conditioning is good. It’s the positioning, physicality, and technique that is lacking

No, it’s just that the option when run correctly is practically unstoppable. Our only nitch with Johnson is that we never passed the ball even when the defense had 8 or 9 guys in the box

Eh not really no. Spread can easily be stopped by either targeting stopping the pass, if you stop that, most spread teams aren’t built for the run. Vice versa for the single back or the power I. However, you can’t target either of those if you run the option with a decent 40% air attack.

So all you have to do is stop the pass? Easily? Damn, you are a got damned football genius. So the offense does everything properly, blocks it properly. QB makes his reads and checks properly. All it takes is just stopping the pass! How are you not a DC?

Oml, yeah I had to simplify it because your little brain can’t comprehend it… drop safeties back an extra 5 yards or so depending on speed of receivers, play cover 2 man, have corners play press man on the inside shoulder of the receivers. Depending on the speed of the QB will decide if you need a contain, spy, or straight up normal coverage. That takes care of pretty much every route in a normal spread offense.

Genius! If P5 DC's read this post it will be simple now to stop any offense but the option. No way a TE gets open or a draw play gets run, or a handoff to a RB, or a screen....all of it, shut down. Does Nick Saban know you exist?

So nobody blocks theses players. The opposing team is just confused about schemes and plays since they aren't running an option offense?

I tried to DM Nick Saban to get you on staff.

Wut? Block who? We’re talking about defense right now and who’s covering running backs and tight ends.

Yeah and you’re talking about Tight Ends going out for passes and running backs on draws. Now I don’t think you know this, but offensive linemen have to stay back on draws unless they want to give away that it’s a run and everyone crashes

TE's can block too, moron. So can RB's. Mike Cox was a hell of a blocker for Chan at FB. I am just glad Clemson didn't think to cover Calvin Johnson in the 2004 victory against them. All you gotta do is just cover a WR. That's all.

Does it matter if it is CJ or not? Your defense shuts down passing offenses since they can't scheme or block. They just run plays and are bewildered at your defensive acumen.

Well let’s look at what WERE running defensively. We run some sort of cover 6 most times with anywhere between 3-5 guys blitzing at a time. Once crossing routes clear the middle, that leaves it wide open for even the slowest of QBs to get 20 yards on us.
