Our coaches suck

This game was lost by the coordinators. Collins brought them with him. There's no loyalty in sports anymore. Let them go and get new ones. We have good position coaches but they don't make play calls. At least some on here have the uniform reveals to look forward to the rest of the year.
Collins can recruit. If he had excellent coordinators he could succeed at Tech. So long as he let them run their schemes without interference.

But he seems very loyal to them and unlikely to fire any. And honestly, Tech doesn’t have the will to hire excellent coordinators not the ability to find the ones “unknown” to the masses. IIWII

You're an imbecile to argue that recruiting isn't an area that CGC has been doing an adequate job. It just shows your blind hatred for him. How about prove that you've been laid in the last decade. You're a consistently miserable poster who might need to to seek out a life beyond stingtalk.
David Cochran (Vandy), Myles Sims (Michigan), Kenyatta Watson (Texas), Derrick Allen (ND), Marquez Ezzard (Miami), Ryan Johnson (UT), Nick Pendley (MSU), Antonneus Clayton (Florida).

That’s a lot of flops and dead wood he eye balled.

Fact.

Then, once you turn to his high school recruiting, it’s even worse since “wE hAD thE WoRst rOsTeR evER” and it’s impossible to tell a ööööing difference.

But ya, do go on about his ability to eye ball talent. Go.

But where's the proof you've been laid?

Calls anyone from outside the perimeter in GA a racist redneck. Posts öööö like this. I don't just dislike you, I'm ashamed people like you are associated with an otherwise fine institute.

They're not racist, they're just losers. I'm an unvaccinated, anti-mask libertarian. I'm a hard-drinking Michigander of German descent and you know what? I like winners. I don't like losers. Paul Johnson wasn't perfect, but he had a winning attitude. Cremins was a winner. O'Leary was a winner. Calvin Johnson was a winner.

Geoff Collins? Loser. Loser. Loser.

Give me a winner. I think you're more likely to find one roughing it in the harsh winters of the Great Lakes than you are to find one smooth-talking you in the south. Sue me.

Only people on the crack pipe or were not around at the time would ever say they had a more enjoyable experience as a fan when Chan was coaching than when CPJ was coaching.

Also with a name like knoxjacket you'd think he would be aware of what happened to a team in Knoxville whose once successful coach wore out his welcome and was shown the door. That team has been garbage over a dozen years now and they have 10x more going for it as a football factory than GT.

interesting bringing up UT. En route to their worst season in program history, in which they won 0 SEC games, their worst coach in program history beat our former genius with a guy named “Quentin Dormady” playing QB despite spotting us a 14 pt lead.

It's been a few years. I have a feeling the door will be shown to a few coordinators at the end of the season.

I also worry about our S&C program.

You register this season and are nothing but negative. I think you enjoy the losses so your whiney ass can come on here

Prove it.
He has recruited some good skill players. Something Tech coaches in the past have also been able to do. He hasn’t pulled in any big nasties. So you got me there. That has been something of a problem for Tech to do with much success for quite a long time. Rarely does Tech have more than one stud at a time in either line of scrimmage. Collins hasn’t broken that glass ceiling yet.

Reading comprehension not your specialty?
I was suggesting rodzilla (and apparently you) should start putting cash where your mouth is vs blaming the folks (identified by rodzilla as evil boomers) currently paying all the AA bills for not running AA the way you want.
Put up some money or stfu…is that clear enough for you?

Since you brought it up, what should I infer about your reading comprehension as you failed to answer the question directed to you? Here's your participation trophy

Wasn't that the game that was had a brand new qb, lost our 2 best backs from the year before, had a brand new dc, lost several guys on ol

I genuinely don't think we need to "outscheme" opponents to win. We've shown we can get Top 25 recruiting classes. Get those and be better than average at developing players and getting disciplined execution of the schemes we do have. That will result in consistently being in the Top 25 rankings and challenge for ACC titles every year.

I really mean out-coach them, not necessarily go to some odd scheme. uGA is pulling in top10 classes consistently, so can we win straight up without the coaching factor?

I agree 100%, and I think most others do, too. But as long as Collins keeps losing, we are going to keep hearing CPJ comparisons. He won a lot of games here, and there are still some people who feel like he was treated unfairly, leading to his retirement. Not to mention it’s a pretty direct comparison - he won a lot more games than Collins is, with lesser or (at best) equal talent to what we have now.

Definitely. I don't even mind the comparisons so much as some of the black-and-white implications, as if what's happening now is just what necessarily happens when you don't run the triple option.

CPJ proved adept at producing some very good/great seasons with lesser talent. Collins appears to be a terrible coach who's proven that Tech can reel in some high level talent with the right resources and approach. If we can ever get someone with the positive attributes of both, the challenge will just be keeping them.

Thanks for mentioning that. I've called it into question too on this board this season.
There's no way our S&C program isn't beyond reproach either.
Three offseasons into it and this is what we have?
But hey, we make great videos. We make great uniform reveal videos.

Unless CGC can find a Joe Brady out there, I don't see coordinator changes coming.
