What wears Gold and takes 23 seconds to run one play for a sack and a runoff penalty when they're in the red zone with a chance to win?

Also, I'd like to give congratulations to the three GT defenders who jawed up Citadel players after third down stops only to get flagged and keep Citadel on the field. I bet they weren't running their damn mouth after the game.

I've watched all of Patenaude's pressers. He has been bizarrely upbeat thus far given the belabored but plausibly decent nature of the offense prior to today. If he's still this upbeat after Citadel then I don't think he has the fire in his belly that it takes at this level. And if today keeps going on all season and that's his style all year ... he should just stop holding press conferences. Seriously. You do not want to create a GT version of Tom O'Brien. As NCST fell into flames all around Tom, he was as ever emotionless/upbeat. The larger the delta between reality and the demeanor of your coach the faster the fan base will get infuriated. It's happening now with Taggert at FSU. Taggert gets straight up asked by the media if he can show his frustration just so we know it's there.
 
I had my doubts about the coordinators that CGC was bringing along. Doubts confirmed in week 3. Also ST. Whose idea exactly was it to play Brenton King? That decision alone would make you question someone's sanity. I mean WTF??? Something wrong with this pic.
 
Too many QBs being rotated in and out.

But he called a play that should have won the game.
 
I’m convinced that Patenaude is faking it when he gives us his upbeat take on his pitiful offense. Time for him to be honest with himself and his players.
 
Also, who noticed how CGC was so on mike with the box that it interrupted his talking to the refs? Who's he talking to up there? God? Could only be Patenaude. I think we've (clearly) identified the bugaboo. Patenaude must go!

Collins-Patenaude had better not be the same suicide pact that Johnson-Sewak was. If I were AD I woudn't fire Patenaude today ... but when I do fire him it would be for today. First P5 on the market for an OC. Go get Ralph Friedgen from his beach place near Charleston and have him come in this year as a consultant (read: acting OC) and as somebody who can vet your next hire thoroughly.

I saw plenty of holes in coverage. And usually the ball coming toward the GT receiver in the hole after he's had to slow or stop to wait on it. Usually with a Citadel player coming into frame at full run to meet the ball at the receiver. Lucas can't find the holes in coverage. When he does the throw is late making the catch highly contested. When he can't he gets sacked or throws an alarmingly high arcing slow throw deep down field. These shouldn't be deficiencies vs Citadel. With Graham injured, make it the Tobias show. I'd rather invest in making Tobias a good passer than invest in ..... whatever the hell that was today.

Don't fool yourself. Lucas Johnson as a starting QB at the D1 level is a pipe dream. Huge understatement btw. How long b4 404 catches up? Yates? IDK maybe? This shit is on the staff.
