Yeah, they could basically name the score in that game by leaving the starters in. We had one "death march" style drive late in the 3rd or early in the 4th where we were really burning the clock and went for like 4 4th downs. It felt like they were basically letting us have the 4th downs - lined up with nobody over the center and a wide split tailor-made for a QB sneak or dive to pick up a yard or two and extend the drive.
We looked competitive against the backups, though!
I was somewhat puzzled and bemused that we ran that one trick play with the stacked wide outs and Graham at WR like 4 times before we finally got it right (for like a 12 yard gain), instead of just trying to grind out the clock and get the heck out of there, which U[sic]GA seemed fine with letting us do.
