Which itself is why we got killed tonight
We got killed tonight because Chan couldn't develop a QB? Is this one of those residual effects arguments?

Haven't you heard? Now that TPR is gone we will be back to top 25 recruiting classes like Gailey used to have.Which itself is an indictment on Gailey.
Iowa says howdy!
So does LSU.

Oh wait. Never mind.
50 actuallyLast four-ty years?
Do you think today's team played as well as those GT teams? We were physically out classed in both of those games, we weren't physically out classed today.

More like Gailey didnt tailor his offense to their strengths, instead tried to fit a square peg in a round hole. Reggie wouldve been an effective read option style QB. Bilbo and Suggs were before Gailey?Ball was better than Suggs, Bilbo, Garner and whoever else we had.
I look at it like this: he could have waited til today to announce and probably go out with a better performance, maybe a win, but by announcing when he did, he gave us the best chance to elevate the program.
He removed uncertainty for TStans, we had plenty of time to find a coach and negotiate a good price, nailed a good hire, and had time to ink a pair of TE's instead of having a fully option-centric class. And we had to pay no buyout.
We may have laid an egg today, but I'm extremely grateful to CPJ that he put our next 2 seasons ahead of today's game and his own pockets. After 11 seasons of option ball, it was always going to hurt to switch back, but he made it as manageable as possible.

Maybe the team shows up for Auburn in front of a lot of fans. We certainly weren’t out-athleted today. We were out efforted.I said this I'm the Gameday thread, but it bears repeating: the Belk Bowl was right. They didn't invite us and Auburn because they didn't want a non competitive, epic beatdown, bowl game. If Minnesota beats us as badly as they did, Auburn's better athletes would have murdered us
Good leaders shape the infrastructure rather than succumbing to it. Let’s hope CGC is able to do that.I have been iiwii with Paul for the last two years - did not necessarily want him to go but desperately wanted him to go. I am happy that this is era is over, but I am not convinced that we have the infrastructure to be much better than where Paul has taken us. I hope I am wrong, and I love the Collins hire, and again I was done with Paul after the Duke game this year. I do wish it would have ended on a better note but I honestly don't care and Paul showed how much he cared with how unprepared his team was today
I feel stupid for saying “I can’t believe that’s what he trotted out there” when, in fact, that’s what he’s trotted out there all year long.
Yes we were.
If we had a better option than TQM, we would have won 9 games before the bowl.
CPJ reaped what he sewed unfortunately. We should have had a better QB at the helm the past couple years and that's all on him. Overall a great time on the flats, but the last outing is what everyone was tired of.
Go Jackets!
All I kept thinking was CGC would’ve had us in the CFP.Watching this game was painful and all I kept thinking was Monken would've made adjustments and won this game.
