There's really nothing quite like being awake at 3 am wondering if your dad is dying because of this shot.

Maybe your parents can find out what it's like to lose a son. I'd like that. We all would.

but hey, i’m sure all four people faked it just to make YOUR opinion look bad.

asshole.
You have weak genes.

Mayor of New Orleans just required all gatherings of over 500 people to require proof of vaccination or a negative test to be admitted to all events. Impacts both the Saints and Tulane who say they will comply. It is coming

This is nonsense when everyone who wants the vaccine has already gotten it.

Anyone who mandates wearing masks outdoors is just not following the science. I image it's very difficult to catch any virus at all outdoors unless a carrier just gets up in your face. Not only that, but on the Infinitesimal change that you do catch Covid outdoors, the chances of anyone under 50 dying from it akin to dying from the flu. Older folks should definitely be vaccinated IMHO, but if they choose not to get vaccinated, they just take the health risk upon themselves.

For the vast majority of outdoor situations I would agree, but tens of thousands of people sitting shoulder to shoulder for three hours while yelling, eating, and drunkenly getting up in each other's faces after big plays is probably the one situation where is say the virus has a good shot of spreading outdoors.

However, if it does spread, it will do so whether people are vaccinated or not. Also, in the Atlanta heat, I believe the chances of serious harm from heat stroke with a mask is probably greater than the health risk of covid without a mask which hasn't been proven to deter covid in the first place.

Somehow we survived last year without keeling over from heat stroke. Heck, I even wore a mask voluntarily while cutting the grass on a hot day to reduce the amount of dust and pollen I was inhaling.

Yes, I tend to agree. I do think masks can make help make a difference to reduce chances of infection with incidental contact (e.g. being with someone in an elevator, walking by someone in a grocery store), but the notion that they are going to do anything when you are in close proximity to other people for an extended period of time seems unlikely to me. Even on the CDC website it clearly states in all caps that masks are not a substitute for social distancing when it comes to stopping virus spread.

The rest of you can just go ahead and die. As MTG said yesterday, "we can't live forever"

You unvaccinated folks need to go ahead and get er done and die off already.

In fact the cotton masks that most people wear don't do any good at all.
