PJ and Uniform Changes

PJ may leave the decision on unis up to the players. At Southern, their uniform choices were already pretty simple. But he asked the players what they wanted, so they got names on the jerseys for the first time (in 1997) and donned blue pants to go with blue tops, which they wore only for special games (rivals, revenge games, etc.). Expect the players to have a LOT of input into the unis.

Assuming a six game home schedule every year:

3 games @ home in Gold Helmets/ Navy Blue Jersey/ White Pants (1990 NC / 2006 ACCCG style)

3 games @ home in White Helmets/ Old Gold Jersey/ White Pants (Throwback Uni's)

Play the three most important games on home schedule in the Throwback Uni's.

Kick Ass and take names every game!

No names on the back of the Jerseys until they beat UGA.

The difference is that the CEO of Nike is not an alumni of Tech.
No, that isn't the difference. Nike supplies the uniforms for Oregon State too. Duh.

And more fun facts...

Below are statistics as they relate to Nike's participation in college football this bowl season.
-- 9 of the 10 BCS bowl teams are Nike partner schools
-- 47 of the 64 bowl teams are wearing Nike footwear
-- 47 of the 64 teams are wearing Nike gloves
-- 46 of the 64 bowl teams wear Nike uniforms
-- 44 of the 64 bowls are using a Nike football
-- 32 of the 64 bowl teams will use the Nike eye shield guard
-- Nike is represented in 30 of the 32 bowl games, and 17 of the bowl games will be Nike vs. Nike
-- The national champion will be a Nike team for the ninth consecutive year

Clearly the winning solution is Nike. Forget recruiting, let's focus our efforts on Nike

Let's recruit Nike. Who is this kid? He must be a bazillion stars to make the kind of impact he has...
She. Goddess of Victory. Daughter of Styx.

UGAy showed how you can turn things around with the uniform change. We need anything we can get.

Wow, 7 pages of a thread on uniforms. We need some real recruiting news or something. How long until football starts again?
