Playoffs?!!

... also, the ball can only bounce their way so many times.
I've been saying this since the early 70s when I started paying attention to college football and bleeding white and gold (thanks to the late Techsamillion, RIP, and his loving parental guidance to hate everything about the leg humpers). However, the ball consistently bounces their way. I hear you, though.

As predicted, the CFP committee still bent over for Sankey. Somehow Oregon the #1 team has a tougher path vs uga and Texas???? Oregon will get tOSU in the Quarters. And magically the sec will not play one another until the semis. Shocker.

Penn State has to be thrilled with the CFP bracket. Easiest path on paper to get to the CFP semifinals.

They spaced out SEC and Big 10 teams to keep them from meeting another conference member early. Ohio State vs Oregon is the only possible
meeting before semifinal round.

I get what Saban is saying, but to abide by his way of thinking a 9-3 Bama would have been ranked ahead of 11-1 SMU prior to the conference championships.

Franklin will still lose though. Penn St is overrated garbage, as usual. They played 2 good teams & lost to both

Leaving SMU out would have been too obvious for committee bias. They had to acquiesce so they could screw non-SEC teams later with less blowback.
The only reason SMU wasn’t left out is because conferences don’t want to end Conference Championship games. It’s a $$$ grab for the conferences and TV networks. Had SMU been left out, it would have officially been the end of Conference Championship games. It’s that simple.
