Pollack let go at ESPN...

As others have said, why do they need ANY high priced talking heads. People tune in for the games, not the commentary, and especially not for the politics. ESPN has fixed contracts for the sports, why not just show more sports and kill the fluff.

I love how they fired all these people basically just to give Pat McAfee a raise

I think he's a buffoon too. Too over the top. I think Desmond is there because of his outlandish picks lol. Corso had his time and he needs to quietly retire. Having him there is embarrassing and I truly hate it for him when he has a gaffe. On par w/ Sleepy Joe moments. I didn't mind Herbstreit until he started getting political too a little but he's tried to refrain from it. Reese is OK but is a step down from Fowler in my opinion. I'd like to see them do something on the NIL. I mean truly looking into it and how it has given power to factories and how it has changed the college landscape, and not for the better. Or, do a special on UGAY at the beginning of the season piggy backing on the AJC investigative reporting all of their trouble with the law, and sexual encounters involving 16 yr old recruits and Coach Gantt trying to bail them out. Coming off a NC, that's news worthy. Let's see if they're objective or if they're going to sweep it under the rug because of the SEC Network and TV deal.

My computer system went down today, I can't breathe the smoky air outside, and David Pollack was canned. All-in-all a pretty good day, I would say.
I took my grandson to his favorite restaurant, the air where I live is pristine and pure, I bought tickets for my wife, daughter, and me to see the Braves beat the Rays in Tampa next weekend, and David Pollack was canned.

Not a bad day.

Nauseating to see how the mainstream media had their bylines written for Pollack, just because he went to Georgia. "Prominent" personality, "beloved", "popular", once again they see the numbers and know ga dolts have tons of followers - I maintain 50% or more are sidewalk alumni, the jiffy lube guys who bought a G hat, the fast food jockeys who want to be in on the game talk. But behind the scenes anyone with eyes and a brain must have been struggling with the quandry of how we rid ourselves of this overemployed, no talent "host"

Lol piss off their main source of income? You haven't been paying attention to MSM the last few years if you even ask this question

True...I guess there's a 'deep state' now in the world of college athletics and accompanying TV revenue. Would make an entertaining 30/30 and not in a good way for UGAY. That would be good TV.

Stephen Smith will be there forever. Fear of network being called "racist"
they did just cut Keyshawn and Jalen Rose loose.
But they're banking on Screamin A. He's one of the top paid personalities, for lack of a better word (because I don't think talent is appropriate), at the Mothership.
Him and Pat McAfee.

ESPN also not renewing deal for Doug Kezirian. What were the odds of that happening?

Don’t hold your breath

He simply got a contract for his radio show. I don't know if he was under contract in his role as an "analyst" or whatever hosting duties he had at ESPN.
It was actually a cut from what he was about to be getting from his previous outlet (reportedly up to $120 million from ESPN's total contract of $85 million).

They can just bring him in for his pick at the end. His commentary is absolute nonsense.

I can't stand Steven A Smith.
