Maybe he wanted a trip to Ireland and FSU told him he wasn’t good enough to be on the travel team. He comes here and then Tech tells him the same thing.
 
The transfer-downs haven't seemed to work out well for us

We had some other guy too who was a 4 or 5* DL at either Florida or FSU, didn't contribute a lot

3* in HS gets bumped to 4* after committing to factory program, performs like 3*, then transfers out. Happens all the time.

Transferred in from Florida. Antonneous Clayton. Originally from Dooly County. Seven games, nine tackles, two sacks in two years.
 
That would seem to indicate they were not doing well if they question the playing time they will be getting with only 2 vets on the roster.

That is not meant to knock them, just pointing out the obvious, could be anything - play, grades, etc.

WTF? GUYS, YOU'RE NOT NFL-BOUND! Why not just 'go with the flow' and get a top-flight education that most of you would frankly never otherwise qualify for to prepare yourselves for the rest of your lives? Don't ANY of these ööööing kids get ANY familial guidance along the way?
 
Isn't Jack Barton the DL who just transferred in??? We're losing guys at our most critical position of need. We are absolutely screwed this season & you're in denial if you think otherwise

Lol. We will 100% upgrade over Barton. He was a flyer we took transferring from Furman and it just didn't work. Tifase we may not get someone rated as highly as him, but it sounds like he isn't the hardest worker, or somewhat disinterested. I don't think we're going to be missing anything with the loss of those 2, and may wind up with 2 better.

The portal closes in like 10 days and then we are stuck with who we got for 2024, right. It looks pretty bleak to me unless we pull 2-3 great DL out of the portal

The portal closes for guys wanting to enter. We can sign anyone in the portal up until fall registration. DL will be a top priority in the portal but we still have Biggers, Lockett, Scott, in the middle with some younger guys behind them. Yondjouen, Harris, Robinson, and some younger guys on the ends. We need pass rushing ends more than anything.
