No. He can say "hey, I'm gonna call a timeout after this next play" all damn day long.
And the ref may have just heard the "time out" part. It is on the coach, not the ref.
I assume that was the case but you just said he could let the ref know he was going to call one all damn day. Which one is it?

I see what you are saying and agree it is up to the coach to call it on one. It seems like it is a common practice to let the ref know so he will be looking for it and not miss it. If the coach calls it on one and the ref misses it, then you are screwed so they let them know to stay with them and hear the call.

I will make it clear. He can tell the ref he wants to call a timeout at 14 seconds or 4 seconds or 2 seconds and it is not on the ref if the coach doesn't come over, get in the refs grill, and call a timeout. It isn't up to the ref to go "oh yeah, he was gonna call a timeout at 1 second, I will go ahead and do that". Nope. Doesn't matter what he said to the ref and when. It is still up to the coach, at one second, to call the time out.

No. He can say "hey, I'm gonna call a timeout after this next play" all damn day long. He still has to get in the refs face and call it. The ref's job isn't to come over and say "ummmm, were you gonna call a time out" to him
My God you are dumb. Are you really just too proud to admit you are wrong or really too dim witted to understand the reality of how this actually works in games?
I’m truly not sure which possibility is worse.

It is but that's not what happened. He would have called it on one if given the chance.

Yea, and if he doesn't get it, it is on him, not the ref. He needs to watch the clock and call the damn thing, not tell the ref "I have intentions" and become a Karen when it gets messed up. It is up to the coach to get in the refs face and go "TIMEOUT" when he sees 2-3 seconds on the clock.
The TO had already been called by the ref.

I don't get why you think it is dumb to put the responsibility of calling the timeout on the coach. Who cares what he told a ref 30 seconds ago. The ref has to get signaled for the timeout when the coach wants a time out. There is no "at a prescribed time, woudya call a timeout for me, ref? Thanks". Nope. The coach actually HAS to signal the timeout when he wants it, regardless of what he tells the ref.

Damn, you are one dumb öööööööööööö

I know, because dumbass coach probably said "I want a timeout at 1 second" and the ref heard "I want a timeout" and it was granted. Dammit, this isn't that difficult. Don't let the syllables for "I want a timeout" to leave your ööööing dumbass mouth before you want a timeout.

Don’t ever give jjackass a gun. If you do and then tell him “don’t shoot”….he will probably shoot and then blame you because you said the word “shoot.”
Plus it’s always a terrible idea to give a complete moron a deadly weapon. Even the Army won’t do that no matter how bad they need troops.

I was very surprised at the view, I'd sit there again for sure. The only thing that sucked was that ööööing UGAg "go dwags" on one of the buildings in the skyline. I'd like to know who owns that so I can kick them in the nutts.
It’s probably some dude with no nutz.

Just got caught with the TO conversation. What happened, were we given an additional one because we werent efficient with the practice last week?
