I’m glad we won but the bad outweighed the good tonight, aside from the final score. Hopefully we learn from it and are ready for uGA next week.

Not a whole lot of bad, Bailey is gonna be a menace the next couple years. ööööty timeouts and receivers dropping balls, though, do seem to be a consistent thing. Special teams was good tonight.

I think today was the tryout for handing the reins over.

The second half was for sure. I have tried convincing myself that the coaching staff has a sophisticated and well thought out plan for how both QBs will be incorporated in Athens and tonight was intentionally sloppy looking.

Not every pass was "easy" for sure.

The worst was Hawes, and I think we might run away with it if he gets the first down, but I'm sure Malik, Singleton, Chase and Boyd would tell you that they need to make the catch, frustrating that it is everyone

I’d rather be one more point than my opponent than the other way around. Too many times we’ve lost games we should have won or close games by one score in the past. Coming off a huge win, the Tech thing to do would have been to lose this game. Winning a thriller is always good for the soul and gives your heart a workout.

It's telling that his HS teammate doesn't seem to be having the same issues. He's a beat or 3 late on a lot of his throws and isn't taking open sure completions. His completion percentage is consistently too low now. He's got the arm so hopefully that game winning drive settles him down. That pick in the 4th was a horrendous set of decisions. Why he didn't throw it to his first read is a mystery to me, but after he double clutched that throwing the ball cross body into traffic to a receiver who isn't looking was obviously a mistake.

Defense is improving slowly

What game were you watching? Our defense gave up 400 yards and 29 points to a below average team. I call that a regression from the Miami game where we gave up 400 yards and 23 points to a Heisman front-runner.
