post practice presser

This is not the time to be grab-assin.

We have a job to do - get your freakin' minds RITE.

I cleaned all the sand outta my vag from the Puke game and am whipping myself into game shape and highly recommend all my Tech brethren do likewise. We can go back to self-loathing after the game.

We don't have a job to do. The players have a job to do.

All we have to do is drink beer and bitch.

Our kick off coverage is probably at the same level as last year. Last year they never had to do anything because the kickoff went into the end zone.
Given the number of explosive A and B backs we have had, why have we never had an outstanding kick returner.
Given the complexity of this offense, we need to start with a redshirt freshman quarterback every four years to minimize the number of seasons lost to the QB learning curve.

Marshall should still be a A back. He is not a good passer and he wants to carry the ball on every play. This is more pronounced on the goal line. We should have gone with Lucas Johnson this season. Look at his passing stats from high school in California, The record could not have been much worse, we would have three more years with him at QB and he is big enough to run the mid-line and throw out of the pocket. He was the starting QB for the North squad in 2016 Blue-Grey All-American Bowl in Tampa. I hope he gets a chance Saturday.
Wrong. We should have gone with Jordan if he had been healthy and had Lucas Johnson ready to play as the # 2 guy. I am hoping that LJ will be QB #1 and the Oliver kid from Northside (Warner Robins) #2 next season.

I assume you guys are coaches?

For the life of me I'll never understand these kinds of posts. CPJ has seen hundreds and hundreds of snaps from all these QB's. He's seen what Lucas Johnson can do in all facets of the game, and his conclusion is that TQM is playing at a higher level right now. Why do you doubt that? CPJ has worlds more experience and incentive to get this right than we fans do.

I support CPJ. I just think that Lucas Johnson has more upside over this year and the next three years. We might have lost more games this year although I doubt it. TQM will be gone after next season and we start over.

If the posts have to completely agree with CPJ there is little reason to post or have this site.

Because our coach is hard headed and hates to admit he's wrong. He even said several games ago he considered pulling Marshall, can't remember which game. Until a player plays in a game, you can't tell if he's a gamer or not. Hell, I admit I was on the basketball team because I looked damn good in tryouts and practice. Never had any huge games. We have not seen Lucas in a real game situation. One series of mop up against JSU or whoever doesn't show jack squat.

PJ did pull Taquon out in one game and Matthew ran a couple of series, before he got dinged and Marshall had to go back in.
He probably should have put Lucas in late against Duke. IIRC, he as much admitted so.
But to PJ, if you want to play, show it in practice. Want PT? Practice better. If you can't show it in practice, what leads the coaches to think you will show it in games when the s--- gets for real.

No, they just have to disagree on some rational basis. Consider why you prefer Lucas Johnson over Jay Jones... what are your reasons? What is your exposure to these guys? How many snaps have you seen them take?

There are plenty of things that CPJ should do differently that we fans know something about. Which player should start is not one of them.
