Pyron has IT

He can play in 3 more and keep his redshirt. I’d let him start 3 more and get as much experience as possible without burning
So you want the only QB on our roster who can complete down field passes to play 3 more games for people who will be fired in a few weeks? I just don’t understand the short sightedness. You don’t think Miami and VT will be trying to hurt Pyron? Those teams try and injure every QB. If Pyron gets injured in meaningless games and can‘t practice this spring or fall with the new staff then next year will be awful. Right now today, all that matters is spring and fall practice under the new staff. The res5 of this season is meaningless.

Jeff S. will be back soon and ZP will back to the bench.

Love the way he stepped up in the pocket under pressure after he settled in some

That's loser mentality.

So whats our record? All I care about is the future and getting the previous guys stink off our program. We are 4 weeks and a day from that happening so sorry if I don’t want our one bright spot from being infected any more by this regime.

No. There’s no substitute for actual game experience. He needs all he can get now without burning his redshirt. He’ll probably sit when/if Sims comes back, so play now. Practice next year. You can’t sit out to not get injured because the game experience is invaluable. And an injury could occur at any time; game, practice, climbing stairs, whatever. Can’t be scared.

That kid is a competitor, no way he'd not want to start every game possible
This! Do not redshirt him. Top players will not stay and sit the bench. Use them while you can. If they're that good they'll expect to play or transfer. There will be few 4-5 year players under the current system. It's a new era in college football for the time being. Coaches have to adjust.

Dude. He can play for 3 out of the 4 remaining games and not lose his redshirt.

Sims isn’t coming back. He did this same thing last year. Normally I’d agree about playing time and experience but not with a lame duck staff that has already ruined many players dreams.

What makes you think Sims is a potential WR?
His speed. His length. General athletic ability. Should have decent hands. Knows the route trees, or should. So shouldn’t be too difficult to learn how to run the routes. The game is simpler for a WR and he probably would take fewer hard hits. Worth exploring unless he’s not open to it. Definitely his best shot at making a pro team.
